A/N I made a little change to the last chapter they're meeting at an Italian restaurant, not Starbucks. Also, let's just pretend in the text conversation they discussed what they're wearing so they know who is who.

Lilly's POV

I walked in and looked around for Dominic. I was standing at the entrance when a lady (the waitress) approached me. She was about to say something, when I saw who I presumed, was Dominic.

"Hey! Are you Dominic?" I asked.

"Yes. Hey Lilly!" he said.

The lady kinda just stood there awkwardly while we introduced ourselves to each other. I would too if I was in her place.

We walked over to a table for two and Dominic pulled the chair out for me. LET ME TELL YOU THIS: last time I was on a DATE (not a casual meet up a DATE, I repeat a DATE) the guy didn't even BOTHER for us to sit down together. He sat down first. Now I'm not saying women should sit first or a guy should wait for the lady but curtsey is a thing.

I am very impressed, guys these days made it seem like manners and curtsey aren't even a thing but WOAH Dominic is good at this.

"How has the first day of school been?" I asked, not knowing what to say.

"Great! How's yours been?" he asked.

"Good for a first day" I replied.

Good. Haha, my day had been anything but that. The campus was huge and it was impossible to make it from one side to the other in the time I had.

"Wait, aren't you the kid from theatre?" I asked.

"Huh?"

"Don't you have the acting course with Mrs. K?" I asked.

Dom's POV

"Oh yeah, I am. How'd you notice?" I said.

"I don't know"

Smart. Green was right. Who on earth would be so observant?

"Here is a complimentary drink for the couple," a waitress said setting a drink on our table.

Notice I said a drink. One, singular drink. For two people. And the fact that she said couple made the situation wayyyyy more awkward.

"What would you guys like tonight?" she asked.

"One order of a cheese pasta and a side of breadsticks," Lilly said.

"A pizza and garlic knots," I added.

"Thank you, your order will be here soon," she said, picked up the menus and left.

There was a moment of silence.

(A/N: Did you guys know a moment is actually 90 seconds long?)

I tried to think of something to say but the mere fact that we were strangers (not even FRIENDS, just STRANGERS) that had been labeled as a couple was weird.

"You can have it," Lilly said, breaking the silence and snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Huh?"

"The drink, you can have it. I'm not much of a beverage person anyways"

"Oh, I don't really drink anything other than water and an occasional Mountain Dew" I said.

"Not even alcohol?" she asked.

"Nope"

"Why?" she asked, clearly just to keep the conversation going.

"Well... you see..." I started to say and then I was reminded of my father.
