Dom and Lilly's adventures in college.
Lilly Singh and Dominic Sandoval are both freshmen at York University. They cross paths in a school dance competition. Where will like take them?
A/N At this point Dom and Lilly have become very good friends.
Lilly's POV
Today was my first practice with Dominic. We decided to go to a dance center near the university, the guy who owned the place knew Dominic well and told him the times when no one practiced there. Since the classes held there ended at 7, Dominic and I would leave then.
It was 6:45 before I knew it so I wrapped up my homework and put on some comfortable dance clothes. I walked out of the dorms and headed towards the boys' dorms.
I was waiting outside when Dominic came outside as well.
"Hey!" I said.
"Hey, Lilly! The dance studio isn't that far away, it's about a quarter mile, shouldn't be that long of a walk"
Dom and I started to walk towards the studio. We mostly made small talk on the way there, and we reached before we knew it.
"Hello Dominic," an old guy sitting at the register said. He didn't look old but his features told me he was at least in his forties.
"Hey! Joseph this is Lilly" he said to the man.
"Lilly meet Joseph!"
"Nice to meet you," I said.
After that, we headed on in.
"So Lilly," Dom said, "I think let's not start the actual dance today, let's instead just show each other our dance so that we know what type of dance we like/are good at".
"Sounds perfect to me. Do you want to solo first?"
"Um sure! I think I'll solo to Sorry by Justin Bieber"
Dominic then started to dance. He started off slow, only to go faster and faster as the chorus came along.
He had a lot of upper body strength. He did many turns on his arm and on his head.
DAMN was he good.
He ended with his arms and head on the ground and his legs in the air, in a very cool position.
Dom's POV
By the time I ended, Lilly was staring at me. She wasn't moving even A TEENY BIT. If it was a statue competition, she would've made a freaking world record. Her mouth was half open and she looked really adorable.
At this moment I felt like a magician because of her.
To snap her out of the spell, I decided to do a little thing. I hoped she wouldn't mind since we had become pretty close by now.
I leaned in, paused for a second and blew into her ear.
Lilly's POV
"Dominic!" I said and started laughing as Dominic blew in my ear. If you haven't figured it out already, him blowing into my ear was really tickling me. He started tickling me all over my stomach and oh I wish I hadn't told him earlier that I could be tickled easily.
"Dominic stopppp," I kept saying as he continued to tickle me.
I somehow managed to get hold of both his arms and stop him. Both of us were laughing messes at this point. We just laid there laughing. His hands were in mine and we were really close, but I obviously didn't notice that until he got up. I shouldn't say this, but I really liked the feeling of being near him.
Lilly. Stop.
You know what happened the last time.
"Lilly," he said in between laughs "you should've seen your face," he said as he continued to laugh.
"Okay okay okay, it is not my fault that you are a good dancer," I said.
"I'll take that as a compliment," he said, still smiling.
"Well, Ms. Lilly Singh it is your turn" he added.
"I don't know what to dance to," I said, "AND now that I've seen you dance I really don't know who put me up against you".
"Just dance," he said.
"No"
"Yes"
"No"
"Yes"
"No"
"Okay, how about this, I dance with you," he said.
"Oh NO NO NO NO NO, sweetie you're too good," I said. Dom stared at me.
"Okay FINE" I finally agreed.
"Good," said Dominic, extending his hand towards me for me to get up.
I got up and we decided to dance to Bad Liar by Selena Gomez. We didn't have a routine in mind so we just decided some steps to some parts and wing the rest.
For the first few steps, we just decided a couple moves next to each other. After that, we figured we'll just go with the song. (A/N It's a bad screenshot sorryyyyyyyyyyyy)

We had to do a few tries to make it successfully through the first part. When we did get it right though we kept going. We danced as the song went on and made up some moves on the spot. Throughout my dance experience, I had never danced with a guy, (I had, but not to an actual song, for competition reasons YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN) so this was a first for me.
It felt weirdly amazing to have his arms wrapped around me, even if it was for a millisecond.
The song soon ended and because of the last step we did, my head was against Dominic's, and our noses were just touching.
"That was so much fun! And Lilly you're really good at dancing" he said.
"I-" I was about to say as Dom said, "Nuh uh don't argue".
"Now that you've danced with me, have you realized that you're a better dancer than me?" he added
"No you're literally so much better," I said.
"But I really want to see you solo," he said.
"Okay fine if you insist," I said and got up.
I just replayed bad liar since I couldn't think of any other song. I danced to the first run of the chorus when I heard something weird and within a second I fell down.
I can't really write cliffhangers, but what do you think will happen next? (Hint: Yousef doesn't hit her on her head with a stick; I'm not going there).
Also, (I need an opinion please comment) should I post a short next chapter by tonight or a long next chapter in the next week or so. I am going to be VERY VERY busy this week so I won't be writing much. I'm thinking of a short chapter so that you guys don't have to wait, but let me know about your opinions down below.
