Baewon couldn't recall most things, not even the most important one of all; where, how, why, or when she fell in love with Kim Wonpil. It wasn't like she possessed this laggy memory or her interests determined them; it was come first, come serve. However, nonetheless, she didn't know where it all began.

One could say it started underneath the dilapidated roof of her junior high. All her friends had ran off without her since they were all late for their elective classes, unlike she, with her busy of schedule of not sitting on babies, like her brothers tease, but babysitting. A bright blue umbrella and pouring rain were her company as she was the only creature there, aside from the crickets that chirped in a nearby bush; that is until she saw him.

With a buzzcut and a terrible case of the heebie-jeebie's, severe shivers brought on by the shower, Wonpil, a 13 year old dandelion, was also underneath the roof. This was the exit and there was no one around.

Bae blinked dumbfoundedly, first, wondering who he could be, when suddenly, he turned to her. And that's when she met the stars.

Wonpil's eyes held the most glorious constellation, probably all the suns that could ever exist, in everything. An immediate lovestruck loser, Bae was lost in his eyes.

He merely offered dimples of a great smile, shaking his shoulders and nodded.

The rain trickled down upon him and finally, she fixed her little coat before一mustering the wildest courage一strolling over to him to hold out her umbrella, without thinking, for she was too enthralled by his eyes to see the reality of her actions.

It took a while for him to notice since the volume of his teeth chattering surpassed her presence.

He glanced back once before focusing his attention upon her, giving her the stars with his gaze.

Wonpil's features illustrated a look of awestruck surprise, a sheepish twitch affecting his still positively curved lips.

"You look like you need it. I don't. Please take it." Bae mumbled, his beauty amplifying her nerves.

Wonpil stepped closer towards her, still warmth radiating like a dial from his face.

"Oh, no! Not me... I don't need it. That's really nice of you, but I can't," Bae shivered when he said that, blossoming all at once from the appendicular of her childish body.

She shook her head, refusing his dismissal. He needed it more than she did. He needed all the treasures in the whole world, just as fine as he was.

"A car-I don't-uh, I'm being一" The boy stuttered, blinking away in hesitation.

"It's alright! I have two jackets and my house is a few blocks from here. I'll be okay; it's better if you take it because you need it. Please?" Bae insisted, her pitch elevated, with her lips pursing desperately.

Wonpil's smile didn't pass, one could say it even grew, because he was indeed soaked.

"Thank you," Wonpil took the umbrella from her hand, with the tips of his fingers meeting hers. His touch greeted hers lukewarm, which arguably made her cheeks heat up. Bae nodded.

"Seriously, thank you. When could I return it to you?" His prepubescent song of a voice posed, tilting his head; he looked like he wanted to laugh but she mistook it for genuineness.

She shook her head, zipping her coat all the way up to her neck, with unsteady hands.

"Hold on to it, in the rain, and stay dry. Don't get sick!" With that, Bae turned upon her heel, pulled her hood over head with one gesture, and ran off, inches deep in pools of water.

It was pouring as she smiled, all because of Wonpil.
