"This is have to be the best trip of our life! Or perhaps the last bachelor trip of Noy!" Neil winked and teased Noya, who glared at him in return. Noya and Neil had been best friends since their college days. Nikhil, Ryan, Amra and Esha is among the gang. Noya is getting married in six months, so they are all going for a Europe trip, as her last "single" trip. Some of them are well settled with a career, while others are engaged in family businesses.
"Check-in has started. Lets go?" Neil offered. "No, wait. We are waiting for Noya's best friend to come." Amra said. "Whose best friend? I thought we were Noy's best friends." Neil crooked an eyebrow. Just then, Noya joined them, ending her phone call. "She's about to reach. We'll wait for a few minutes?" She explained. "Who are we waiting for?" Neil was really bothered. "Waiting for me best friend." "And who are we?" Nikhil and Ryan bursted into laughs. Noya rolled her eyes. "I have a best friend, since childhood. And so are you guys, but from my college days. So I think it's time to mix up the two." Noya was really excited. "Where have she been, all these days?" Asked Ryan. "She have been living over in London. Left for studies and now pursuing her career. She's a citizen there." "Oooh!" Neil let out, as everything now has started to make sense.
"Sorry I'm late!" He heard someone say, behind his back. Neil turned around to have a look. A brown haired girl was loading her luggage to a trolly. She was white fair, tall with an equal weight hence a perfect body. The dark grey sweatshirt and blue jeans, matched with her skin tone. She looked simple, with just a silver watch on her wrist, and a jungle green jacket, hanging on her arm. Noya rushed to the girl and they both hugged each other to death. "Got caught up with some work. Hi Ryan!" She greeted Ryan, moving out of the embrace. "Oh and that's Amra and Esha, and Nikhil you have met already yeah?" Avni nodded and greeted them. "And that's Neil." Avni looked at the Smart looking guy standing at most right. Her stomach made flip flops, he was damn handsome, with a perfect hair, and slightly tanned skin. His perfect body evident for the workout hunk inside. Neil walked forward and removed his shades, revealing his brown eyes. "Neil." He smiled and held his hand out. "Avni." Avni replied and shook his hand, sending shock of lusts to both the bodies. "Let's get going!" Esha's voice brought them back to earth. They checked in to the first destination, Bali. Avni was of a surprisingly silent nature. She didn't talk unnecessarily or take part in the squad's nonstop fun, but was very friendly and always had a warm smile. She was shy and had her own kind of grace, which attracted Neil more towards her.
It was almost dawn by the time they reached the hotel at the beach side. They rented an apartment suit, as it would be easier to accommodate everyone. "Ryan would share with Nikhil I suppose?" Noya guessed. "Of course! And share the bed too!" Neil teased them, gesturing them to be gay. Everyone bursted into laughs, even Avni couldn't hold it. "Shut up, man." Ryan threw a couch cushion at Neil. "Eshu And Amra can share if you are okay to stay with me, Avni?" Noya suggested further. Avni shrugged, "I'm fine, as long as I could work." They all got busy in settling in. Avni was helping to set up the kitchen area, Neil came and tossed her. "You really came here to work? Working on your vacation?" The mockery in his voice sounded unfriendly to Avni. "Why? I cant work on my vacations?" Neil also found her voice, cold and an awkward. "No. I mean vacation is for relaxation. And it's not good for health if you work on your free days." He replied quickly with a wink and walked away. Avni stood there for a few minutes to process what Neil just said.
Everyone dismissed to their rooms after dinner. Neil couldn't sleep as he was not adjusted to the new place. He tossed and turned for a while and decided to come out of the room. The living area was dark, except the dim headlight in the kitchen. Neil grabbed a bottle of water and gulped some. He then noticed a figure in the balcony. Neil walked over to check. Avni sat at the small table, completely lost in her work. Neil shook his head in disbelief. "I really didn't think you'd start tonight itself." Avni was startled a bit when he spoke, but relaxed when she knew it was Neil. "Haha. If I wait for even one night, some people would lose their rights and the Justice." Avni replied. "You're a lawyer?!" Neil Exclaimed. "Yeap, ACP Neil Khanna." Avni smiled. "How did you.." "I just have heard about you, from my last case at the Supreme Court. Noya told me more about you." Avni replied. "Ooh, then we're pretty much on the same boat." Neil grinned. "I've never seen you though." "That's because I don't practice here. I am an EU lawyer. But I do take up some of Indian cases though." Neil nodded, as he was figuring out everything slowly. Avni gave a smile and got up to leave. "G'night!" Neil looked at her, the moonlight was kissing on her skin and hair. Neil's hands were cold, his stomach did flips. "Nights.." he replied as Avni turned to leave.
