We walked past the gargoyle and he pulled me up the stairs into Dumbledores office.
The main in the light blue robe had his back to us making himself a cup of tea.
He picked up the cup and sipped it. He slowly turned and met us both. "Ah Severus, what brings you here at this hour?"
"I'm sorry to disturb you, Headmaster. However... I found this student drenched in the corridor. And when I asked for her house she chose to ignore me."
Dumbledore looked at me with a twinkle in his blue eyes. Confusion crossed his face and he took a step forward. He has no idea who I was.
Snape looked confused that Dumbledore was confused. And I was still confused on why I was here. So let's just say that everyone was just really confused at this point.
"What is your name, dear?" He asked softly.
For the first time I spoke, "Um, Alison.. sir." I choked out.
"Full name." Snape said abruptly tightening his grip on me.
What the hell was his deal. Like I get it he has his issues, but when in the presence of him you can't help but want to smack him across his face for being an asshole to you. Like he had no idea who I was, I was a perfect stranger to him and here he was holding me like I was a criminal.
"That's quite enough, Severus." Dumbledore spoke gesturing for him to release his grip. He let go and straightened his posture.
"Alison Lodge."
"Are you a student here?"
"No."
Snape looked down at me with a glare, he was now hella confused.
"What are you doing here?" Dumbledore took another step closer to me.
"I don't know." I honestly said, I felt like I should explain my circumstances but 'hey btw you're all characters from a story. And I was just hit with lightening and now I'm probably in a coma and this most likely is just some hallucination.' Wouldn't work too well right now.
The man with the beard peered down to my necklace and something changed in his expression. All the confusion was just replaced with knowledge, like just looking down at a piece at a piece of jewellery gave him everything he needed to know.
"Very well then. Severus, I suggest you take her to your chambers and we'll sort this out in the morning."
"But headmaster.." he tried to object.
Dumbledore kept calm and raised his hand, "Severus, do not argue."
Doing his dramatic flick of the cape and spin, he left the office. With a gesture of his head Dumbledore instructed I follow.
Once we were in the hallway he turned to me and in fright I pushed myself to the wall. This man is so unpredictable with his turns and spins, I swear.
He became dangerously close to my face, and I could feel the heat radiating from him.
"If you're not a student... than what are you doing here."
I looked into his dark black eyes. In all my time I never imagined them to be so alluring. Just like him his eyes seemed hidden, keeping him a mystery from all those who wished to see who he really was.
"And don't say you do not know." He spat wanting the truth, only that I really didn't.
"But I don't."
"It's not like you just fell from the sky into the castle, Miss Lodge."
I moved my eyes to look right into his "Well..."
His face scrunched up and he took a step back, "Don't be so stupid."
"Okay," I breathed out, I had no idea what to say, other than the truth, "One minute I'm chasing after my aunts dog in the storm and the next I'm hit with lightening and brought here."
"Impossible." He stalked away.
"You're telling me." I said to myself.
