The Curse of Knowing (Severus Snape Love Story)

Chapter Four

Professor Snape P.O.V

When Miss Lodge was fast asleep I quietly made my way to the Headmasters office for the second time tonight. I needed to know what was going on, and I needed to know now.

"I thought you'd be back."

"You know who she is, don't you?"

I didn't know if he knew, I only hoped he did.  

"Do you remember last years graduates, Miss Eden Thornberry and Mr Alexander Lodge?"

I nodded having no idea where he was going with this.

"Well they recently got married and are expecting a child. A month ago, as a congratulations gift I sent Eden a protection necklace for her child. The same necklace Miss Lodge is currently wearing."

"What are you saying... their child hasn't even been born yet?"

"Precisely. But Alison.. somehow has gone back in time."

If it was possible, I was even more confused than I was before. Just moments ago I saw the books in her mind and was told I was not real. But now I'm being told that I am and Miss Lodge just went back in time.

I explained to him what I saw in Alison's mind and the man begun to smile.

"I knew she would."

"She? Albus, you're beginning to sound just as crazy as Miss Lodge."

"I have a dear friend on the Muggle side, an author. I've asked her to write the story of the boy who lived. I think it's important that both Muggles and Wizards know the story of Harry Potter."

"They make movies about it too. Eight to be precise." I inform him.

His eyes light up in triumph. "Who plays me? I hope it's Tom Hanks. I think we have similar eyes."

"Headmaster." I snap him back to reality, "What about the girl?"

He clears his throat and holds his hands in front of him, in an authority appropriate posture.

"For now let her think this is all make believe. If she finds out the truth too early, she may go looking for her parents. And we all know what happens to wizards that meddle with time, Severus."

He gave me a knowing look and I nodded.

So, she thinks she's currently in a coma and this is all from a story she's read. She thinks I'm a character and she thinks that I now think that too. And we got to keep that a secret from everyone but really I'm keeping the secret from her that this is all real and she's actually just gone back in time.

This should be fun.
