-Cassie POV-

No, no no no no no! I've already told mom about how much of a brat Liz is, and she's still coming over?! I sigh. Well, at least I found a "Legend Of Zelda" game lying on the sidewalk - an Xbox360 version!!! I've always wanted to play Legend of Zelda!

Before Liz comes I race to the living room and pull out my brother's old gamerchair, pop the disc in, and start up the game.

It seems normal, maybe a tad bit scratched. There's one game file on it, titled "Ben". I decide to see what the previous owner did on this game, barely noticing or seeing Liz come through the front door, my mom greeting her.

I quickly realize I'm a total noob at this game, and start to traverse the game. I feel a tap on my shoulder and look over to see Liz grinning like the idiot she is. "What do you want."

"Uh, earth to Cassie! You do realize that we have a science project to start on?"

"And...? I'll figure it out, that stuff isn't too hard."

I turn back to the game and keep playing. "Come on, get off that thing?" I ignore her pleas until she finally shuts up and watches me play. She finally, finally gives in, "Fine...go ahead, play that dumb game. I'll come some other day."

She gets up and leaves.

-Liz-

"... Little self concerned brat... Could care less about our grade..."

Ugh... That "visit" with Cassie has really left me fuming.... Can't she at least PRETEND to care? Oh yeah, that's right, she's too stubborn to do anything! I keep muttering to myself on the walk home, trying to blow off some steam.

When I finally get home, there's a note on the door:

-----------------------------------------------------------

Hey Mom and Liz:

Im staying at Aidan's house tonight with a few friends! See ya tomorrow! -Jacob

-----------------------------------------------------------

I smile to myself, taking the note off the door and heading in. Good for Jacob! He never goes anywhere with friends! God, its been so annoying having him home all the time. Mom and I have been worried for him.... Especially after dad left some few years back.... But hey, at least he's finally having fun again!

I make myself a quick Nutella and banana sandwich for dinner, all anger toward Cassie momentarily dissipated. I mean, who WOULDN'T be happy having the house to themselves for once?

Of course, next comes homework. After breezing through math and world history, I find myself stuck on the science sheet. We were supposed to pick the topic for our project, and create some ideas on what to do. Hmm.... I suppose Cassie left that to me. An idea suddenly pops into my head: test different things for pH levels. That should be easy enough!

After filling out the sheet, I look to the clock to see that its already 7:45... Wow. I quickly shower and get ready for bed, which brings me to 8:17. Fulfilling my practice of doing something creative each night, I pull out my sketch pad and just doodle some random things.

When 9:25 rolls around, I'm ready to call it quits. Replacing my sketchbook below my bed, I turn of my bed room lights and get comfy in bed.

Hmm.... Maybe tomorrow won't be so difficult with Cassie... I think as I peacefully drift off to a well earned rest.
