"What do you wanna eat for dinner?" Adelaide asked Lexi.
"Why don't you go check the shop and I'll take care of it."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, now go."
After taking a shower, Lexi spent fifteen minutes looking through her closet. She couldn't decide what to wear. The clothes aunt Adelaide bought are beautiful but Lexi's style is different. Her eyes drifted to her backpack and she found the solution.
Adelaide called to tell her she's running late so Lexi ate dinner by herself. When she finally came home she almost didn't notice Lexi's clothes.
"Where did you get that?" Adelaide said, pointing to Lexi's clothes.
"In my backpack."
Adelaide sighed. After eating she told Lexi to go in the backyard and wait for her.
The sun was setting, painting the sky in such wonderful colors. Emily's party had started. The music could be heard from the backyard.
A wall was between Adelaide's and Emily's houses. Emily's parents were out of town for the week and they gave her permission to host a party if it would take place in their front yard, not inside. They believe Zach will help her.He was standing by the bar, which was located inside the house, in the kitchen and you could get drinks through the large window. He ordered a glass of water. At the moment he didn't want anything else. He couldn't believe how he had let her slip away from him. She was so close! He didn't even know her name.
His eyes searched the crowd. A girl caught his eyes and smiled. She pushed away whoever she was dancing with and made her way towards Zach. She's hot. He could use her for a couple of dances and if she was a good kisser, a make out as well. That's the furthest he's willing to go tonight. He has to sleep over at Emily's and it would be rude to sleep with a girl at his aunt's house."Let's get away from here. The music's too loud."
He dragged the girl to the side of the house, pushed her to the wall and kissed her roughly. The girl wanted to be in control so he let her for a while. Now he was leaning against the wall while she kissed his neck. He looked over the wall that was in between Emily's and Adelaide's houses and saw Lexi in the backyard. When his eyes landed on her, his breath hitched. He took a double take. Yes, it was the girl he saw at the beach."Hey why are you pushing me away?" the unknown girl asked.
"I got bored. Go back to the party."
"Will you come back?"
"Depends, did you bring any hot friends at the party?"
The girl was shocked.
"Leave. Now." Zach ordered.
The girl was about to protest but after receiving a death stare from Zach, she turned around and left.
Zach got closer to the wall and noticed that Lexi wasn't alone. Cursing the music, he leaned closer and put a hand over his right ear. Now he could hear them. Barely... but he could.
"Aren't you gonna go at Emily's party?"
Zach was hopeful. Now he would be able to talk to her.
"You know I won't aunt."
No, she has to come!"Lexi, look at me!"
So that's her name."I know you're used to leading a quiet life. You'd rather spend an afternoon studying than going out and I love you for that. Your parents are so proud of you and so am I! You're the perfect daughter they've always wanted. Going to a party won't change that sweetie. You have to let loose a bit, live a little!"
