Lauren?"

Lauren turned around and saw Tyler looking at her worriedly. She turned back to the window and the girl was gone. She shook her head and touched her forehead. Was she coming down with something? She smiled shyly at her brother. "Hi Ty."

Tyler walked closer to her and touched her arm. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I just, um, came down for a drink." Lauren held up her glass of water. "My throat got dry. What are you doing down here?"

"I thought I heard a noise. It must have been you."

Lauren nodded and put her glass on the sink. "Well, I guess I'll go back to bed. You should too." Tyler smiled at her before letting go of her. Lauren made her walk back up the stairs. She suddenly felt like the whole room was spinning. She held on the railing of the stairs. Lauren gasped. She couldn't breathe properly. She heard someone scream her name before everything turned black.

Kaia stood up but fell back down on the ground. She was pretty sure she had broken bones everywhere in her body. She touched her forehead and felt blood. She couldn't see anything clearly. Everything was a blur. She tried to stand up again and succeeded this time. Her legs were shaking and it hurt every time she took a step forward but she walked on, hoping to see someone who could help her. She squinted her eyes to get a better look at her surroundings. She was surrounded by rocks and a flowing river. She thought about what happened. She remembered being pushed by an invisible force. She remembered falling down. She remembered throwing her sister down the cliff. She remembered green smoke. She remembered watching her sister disappear. She continued walking. She was now surrounded by trees. The air became moist and the fog became thicker. She walked on until she couldn't take it any longer and collapsed to the ground. She felt her eyes slowly closing. Before she lost consciousness she heard voices.

"Mother, there's a girl!"

"What is it Mirna?!"

"Mother she has blood on her! We have to help her!"

She heard more voices and felt being carried off the ground before she fainted.

Lauren woke up with a start. She looked around the room. On her right was a white table with a vase full of chrysanthemums, her favorite kind of flower. On her left was a black couch beside it and Tyler was sitting on it sleeping with his mouth open. She frowned. She hated how everything was so white and plain. The only color in the room was the black couch and the chrysanthemums. She closed her eyes again trying to remember what happened. How long has she been kept here? She tried to sit up but lay back down due to the pain she felt. She tried to make some kind of noise to wake up Tyler but she knew he was a heavy sleeper. She took one of the pillows from her bed and threw it at his direction but he only changed his position. Lauren groaned and pressed the button by her side to alert a doctor or a nurse. She looked up at the ceiling and thought back to what happened before. She had an odd dream and woke up in the middle of the night. She went downstairs to drink some water and saw a girl that looked like her outside the kitchen window. Tyler had seen her and she had dismissed it and climbed up the stairs and suddenly felt horrible and then it was all black. She couldn't remember anything past that.

The door opened and a woman with black hair and green eyes wearing a white coat came in. She was followed by a redhead wearing a white shirt and a red jumper. She looked pretty young. She was probably Tyler's age. She must have been a volunteer. She pushed a cart with a tray that had a glass of water and a plate full of hospital food. Lauren grimaced when she saw the hospital food. A lot of people didn't like hospital food and she was one of those people. She heard the doctor chuckle.
