"Persephone!"

Hoseok whirled his head around. They were calling him again. He didn't want to go back to them. Not to that...suffocation. He only had a line of suitors courtesy of Demeter, his mother.

No, he didn't want to go back to that.

"Persephone! Come on, your  mother is waiting!"

That was Aphrodite, or Seokjin if he so wants it. The lovely voice flitted through the clearing. He came along with Hoseok, saying that he needed to get some fresh air. Maybe he was in search of Ares, as he usually is.

"Persephone!"

"Coming! Hold on!"

Hoseok was sitting on a smooth boulder in the clearing. The small pond was glinting with the sunlight peaking through the branches of the trees. The flowers were in bloom this season, rich colors of red and pink. But there was something off about the clearing.

There was a sorrowful feeling that was picking through the bushes. Even as the sun was high in the sky, mournful shadows were translucent around them. Something was here.

Hoseok smoothed out the excess fabric of his sunset orange vest. The color was the same shade as his hair, a color Aphrodite suggested and a color that Demeter absolutely loved.

"Persephone, let's go," Aphrodite said, coming back to him.

His beautiful grace radiated right off him. From his flowing pink robes to his bright blond hair, it was no wonder that Ares went after him. Or any mortal that wished his company.

"Coming. I swear you are worse than my own mother," Hoseok said.

"Oh hush Persephone--"

"--How many times do I have to tell you Aphrodite, call me Hoseok."

"Well then do the same for me, Hoseok," Seokjin said, placing his hands on his hips. "Let's get going. I don't want to feel the wrath of Demeter...or Zeus."

"Okay, okay," Hoseok said. "I'll catch up."

Seokjin gave him a look. "You better."

Hoseok smiled and waved his hand in dismissal. Seokjin started walking away from the clearing. When Hoseok stood, that's when he felt it.

The coldness of death. The small whimpers of souls that long for life.

He looked in the direction that the feeling came from. A cave entrance not too far from the clearing stood there. The light from the sun barely glinted onto the entrance, but its solid darkness kept still.

It was inviting. It was waving its hands, saying come. Come with me. Come and see.

When Hoseok took a step away from it, a small noise echoed from inside the cave. Looking towards the cave, his eyes widened.

From the pale complexion and the dark raven hair, Hoseok knew who the person was. From the warm brown eyes and the all black attire, Hoseok knew he wasn't hallucinating.

Hades. Lord of the Underworld.

He had a bored look on his face, but it was longing for something or someone. His devastatingly beautiful face didn't change as Hoseok looked between him and the way home.

What to do? Hoseok didn't know. Tales from Demeter warned him of Hades. But Hoseok's own was the near equivalent of Hell. The limitations, the coddling...
