Dick's POV:
Friday, December 21, 2018.
"We have to go do what now?" I asked in disbelief.
"Go to the Grocery Store to get some things for Christmas dinner; and hopefully some last minute presents." Bruce bemoaned.
"I DEMAND YOU TAKE ME HOME, FATHER!" Damian shrieked.
"What!? I would have never gotten in the car if I knew we were going to WAL-MART! That place is white-trash galore!" Jason whined.
"Er, it is?" Bruce scratched his head, pulling into an abandoned Blockbuster Video parking lot across from Wal-Mart to think.
"Uh, Bruce? This place closed years ago." Tim said.
"Shut up, Tim." We all said in unison.
"Okay, okay. Let me look up 'Nearby Grocery Stores' on Apple Maps," Bruce said, taking control of the situation.
"Android is better!" Jason interjected.
"Shut up, Jason, that's just because Android phones have porn apps." Tim said.
"First of all, NONE OF YOU are allowed to have porn apps. SECOND of all, be quiet while I'm trying to think." Bruce replied, exasperated.
"Nuh-uh! The Google Pixel is really good!" Jason defended.
We all ignored him.
"Anyway, I found a store a few miles away. It's called Sam's Club. It seems alright."
And off we went.
Bruce's POV:
"Okay," I said before walking in. "Has anyone ever been to a grocery store?"
Jason raised his hand.
"WITHOUT shoplifting?"
"No," they all muttered.
Some unusually happy dude greeted me as we walked in.
"Sam's Club card, Mister Wayne?"
"You need cards to go in Grocery Stores?" I asked.
The unusually-cheery man nodded, a huge fake smile on his face.
"Not all stores. It's kind of a security measure. You can't buy without it!" He said with a lame smile.
"Uh...okay, then. I guess I'd like a card." I said, the man's happy-go-lucky behavior already bothering me.
"You can go over to the registration area, over there!" He pointed.
"Thank you." I said with gritted teeth.
45 Minutes Later
"Well that took FOREVER!" whined Tim.
