Your my kind-of neighbor?!!?

The week progressed and Shawn and I became really great friends. I got to thinking maybe I can hold off on the crush thing.

There's this house down the street that's been empty for about a year. No one knows why. I heard someone just moved in there but I don't know who. Some people are saying it's a really nice family from Canada which is really cool.

My friends and I are going to the mall today to hangout. We're also celebrating Grace's Birthday which was January 1st. I got her a Harry Potter shirt as it's one of her favorite things in the whole world. Her family is picking me up. I hear the doorbell and walk to the front door, yell bye to my mom and leave.

"Happy Birthday!"all my friends and I say in unison when we get to the mall. "Yeah yeah thanks."she says, slightly embarrassed. Even Shawn's here, Grace let me invite him. She gets along with him really easily. "You guys want ice cream?"I suggest. "Yes!!!!!"everyone says together. We make our way to Coldstone and have our ice cream and they have Grace a free one for her birthday. We all walked around the mall and had lots of fun till it was finally time to go home. "Hey Grace, Shawn needs a ride. Can he come with us. He says he lives close." "Sure Trin." She says smirking. "Don't give me that look. We are just friends!"I say. "Yeah, friends that refuse to let the other find another ride for fear their life may be in danger."she says sarcastically. "Oh stop exaggerating."

"This is it."Shawn says. I look up at the house. It's down the street from mine, and a nice Canadian family lives there. Of course it's Shawn!! Why didn't I think of this earlier. "Wow!"i say. Shawn gives me a confused look. I elaborate, "You're my kind-of neighbor?!!?" He thinks for a moment. "Yeah I kind-of am."
