*BANG,BANG,BANG*
"Wake up Sleeping Beauty, breakfast's ready!"

Ugh.

"Piss off...
-I heard that.
-I meant "good morning Dad!"
-Yeah right, anyway it's late, get up please!
-Just a sec!"

I get up and walk to the bathroom to clean my face a little, after a lovely night of insomnia and useless thinking (you know, the usual).

Oh! Excuse my behavior, I'm certainly not a morning person, runs in the family I guess.  My name is Ophelia Lupin, the daughter of the famous Remus John Lupin, werewolf in full control of himself and professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts, School of Wizardry and all that crap.  Aside from being moody and bored most of the time, a side effect from being sixteen and trapped in my own house since birth,  I'm a nice gal.  I read a lot, I like music, drawing and muggle stuff, like a tv.  Special bonus to my lovely life: I'm a squib (someone born from wizard parents, but who can't practice magic).

Anywhoo, when I get in front of the mirror, I look in my forest green eyes over the purple-blue shade of my dark circles, to only see the same tired look in their deep shades.  My dad's friends told me I had the same eyes as my father and the hair of my mother. I never knew my mum.  Dad told me she died giving birth... All I have left from her is a picture of my parents with their friends, when they were at Hogwarts, and my long brown hair with reddish tones that looks exactly like hers. Her name was Dorcas Meadowes. After she left us, I lived alone with my father.  It was sad to see him more tired than after his transformations as a teenager. Sirius came to visit from time to time, but seeing Remus like that made him sick from sadness. My mum was a close friend of his too and her death hurted them both like being stabed in the throat because of all the held back tears. Until one day,  my dad met Nymphadora Tonks, a metamorphagus with a fuchsia pixie cut, a spiky personality and Sirius' cousin. She lives with us now and she is like the mother I never had. She's so funny and is one the rare person who can make Dad smile with all his teeth(beside me, of course) after what happened to my mother. I have a nice life, a smooth one for sure, but there is something that's missing from paradise: I can't leave the house territory. Dad says it's for my "safety", I think he's just scared of people's reaction faced to a squib like me. Not many people know about me because I live hidden from the world.  When you're in a state where your only real friend is Gerard, a 60 years old tutor with a french accent, you know it's bad. How. Exciting.  Nahhhhh, I'm only joking about Gerard, he's a nice dude. On holidays and summertime, I hang out with the golden trio and the Weasleys since my parents are friends with them.  They're the nicest lads in the world and I'm happy to consier myself their friend. I love playing Quidditch with Ginny, she gives me back an energy that seems to disappear everytime the gang leaves for school. I enjoy talking with Harry in the night, I feel like he really understands me, being alone here and all.  Having snacks with Ron always makes me laugh until I cry and my belly hurts too much to swallow.  Hermione teaches me new things about life, fun facts about magic or the muggle world that gets my brain going all day. And  I love the feeling I get after running around the garden with Fred and George, leaving my cheeks red and my heart beating fast from happiness.  Going back to my over-protective papa, since I'm his daughter, he thinks some people might want to hurt me or worse. My father pays Gerard to give me my lessons so I'm not a total ignorant and to keep me company when he goes to work for the Order.  When dad's busy, Gerard absent and Dora no where to be found, I read one of the book from our gigantic librairy or I draw portraits. I also like muggle music, rock and alternative music.  For example, you can't call yourself british without knowing the Arctic Monkeys, eh folks? Those guys rock.

The only people I see reguraly are the members of the Order of Phœnix. I get along with everyone, even with Severus (he has his times where you can't annoy him, but he likes my big brain too much to be mad for long) When I hang out with the lads from Hogwarts, I forget how lonely I am.  My friends show me stuff from the magical world and they try to teach me things about subjects like care of magical creatures and astrology, so I can keep up with their conversations (but that's mostly Hermione's and Dad's job).

After a while, I get out of the bathroom with a book in my hand (Milk and Bone, by Rupi Khaur, some muggle poetry)and walk down the stairs, missing the last two steps and creating such noise, a heavy metal concert could not conver it. I hear a loud shushing sound from my right. I turn to find Tonks in front of the closed kitchen door, preparing for some mischief..

"Uhh, Tonks? What are you doing?
-Hush you, I'm about to prank Moony.
-I see, I see."

"Dora, darlin! Could you get in here, please? Tell Ophelia to come too, breakfast's getting cold!"
"That's my cue!" Whispered the metamorphagus while she transformed herself into Severus Snape. She got in the kitchen and by the time she said "Hi, wolfie!" with a seductive tone, I hear my father scream like he just saw Dumbledore in women's underwear.
"FOR FUC-FUDGE' SAKE NYMPHADORA DO THIS AGAIN AND I SWEAR ON MCGONAGLE'S HEAD YOU'LL BE DEAD IN THE NEXT MORNING!"

I enter the kitchen, crying of laughter. My dad smirks and say:
"You think it's funny, uh?
-Actually, yes I really did enjoyed seeing the Great Professor Remus Lupin, Moony the First, shit his pj bottoms because Miss Tonks right here is a total badass.
-You go girl! (Dora says)
-We'll see if you think it's still funny after this!"

He runs around the kitchen table with his quick-as-a-werewolf speed and starts to tickle me, wrapping an arm around me so there is no escape for my poor soul. I start laughing so hard I start to cry.

I love my family, even if it's not a big one, it's enough for me.
