Chapter 19

Liam stirred as Louis drifted of. Zayn ruffled the boy's hair to get him back to sleep. However that didn't work as the boy woke up.
"You ok?" zayn asked
Liam shrugged.
"You in pain?" zayn asked.
Liam shook his head no.
"You feeling nauseous or sick?" zayn asked knowing that can be a side effect from an anaesthetic.
"A bit." Liam said looking at Zayn.
"Alright, just talk to me and hopefully I'll be able to distract you but if you feel like your going to be sick tell me." Liam nodded and Liam and Zayn started chatting with Zayn mainly giving Liam a run down on how the next week was going to work.

"As long as they let me and Harry cuddle and maybe Ni when he wants to I don't mind."
"I've already told the nurses how close you, Harry and Niall are and they said they won't stop you from cuddling." Liam smiled slightly.
"Your going to meet them one by one when you feel up to it okay, but there all really nice."
"How do you know?"
"Your dad and I met them when you were having your procedure done." Liam nodded and then turned to his Papa.

"How long is this going to go on for. I really want to get back to normal like go to school and everything."
"I'm not sure Li, hopefully not to much longer."
Liam couldn't wait to get home and to his own bed aswell. A nurse did some checks on Liam. She was happy his temperature was down to 38.2.

"Hey Liam." Dr walks said as he entered the room.
"Hi."
"Were going to move you down to the normal ward again now and then let you meet the nurses and then we're see about discharging you." Liam smiled the biggest Louis and Zayn had seen in days. Louis had woken up whrn Dr walks came in.
"Can lou stay on the trolley as you wheel?" zayn asked.
The nurse nodded as she put the side's up.
They then wheeled the trolley back to the children's ward where Liam had been staying.

His nausea came back more intense as they wheeled the trolley and before he knew it he turned to his side and puked all over his dad.
This made Louis anxious.
They stopped the trolley as zayn comforted Liam.

'Shh its ok.' Zayn soothed.
'Its just a reaction to the anaesthetic' the nurse said who had grabbed two vomit bowls passing one to zayn and holding one for Louis knowing how anxious he gets.
Louis found himself using the bowl pretty quickly as the smell and his anxiousness got way to much for him. The nurse tried her best to comfort Louis while Zayn comforted Liam. Eventually the pair finished and they were then wheeled the rest of the way to the ward. When they reached the ward the nurse helped Liam clean up and Zayn helped clean up Louis.

"Right I think we should introduce these nurses now as the sooner introductions are carried out the sooner you can go home." Dr walks said with a smile and Liam nodded as he curled into Louis.

Louis hugged his son. A nurse came in
"I'm just going to insert some anti sickness in your cannula you will be able to use the picc line in a few hour's we will also go through line safety with you." The nurse explained and Zayn and Louis both nodded and once the nurse left Dr walk walked in with who Louis and Zayn thought was Luke and they were correct.

"Alright Liam were going to do this in rotation each nurse will spend 5 minutes with you and you can get to know each other. If you need a break at all just tell either your dad or Papa and they will come and find me and we will pause until your ready again. Liam nodded so Dr walks left leaving Liam and his dads with Luke.

"Hey bud I'm Luke."
"Hi." Liam said from his position in Louis' arms.
"So you looking forward to going home?"
"Yeah I just want my own bed and to see my brothers."
"I bet." The pair chatted for the whole 5 minutes about random things and by the end Liam decided he really liked Luke.

"How did you like Luke Li?" Zayn asked when they were left on there own waiting for the next nurse.
"I really liked him he's easy to talk too." Zayn nodded as he was happy with that answer. Zayn was prepared that if Liam didn't like one of the nurses then he would get the nurse changed as his kids happiness came first and if Liam didn't like one of the nurses then he wouldn't be happy.
