The first day of school had always been the worst for Juliet, she still didn't have time to completely settle into her new room, but her parents still expected her to be ready for the first day of school. Juliet had woken up early turning her stereo on to listen to music while she got ready, downstairs she could hear her mother and father talking, the smell of food seeping through the crack under the door and the sound of plates clattering together. Juliet turned the volume up on her stereo locking her bedroom door and going into the bathroom.
Juliet turned the water on keeping it warm and close to hot, quickly stripping out of her pajamas Juliet jumped into the shower and began to sing along to the radio. Juliet stood under the water for a while, the hot water hitting her skin and once her body grew accustomed to the heat of the water she grabbed the coconut oil shampoo and began to wash her hair.
After her shower Juliet wrapped her hair in a towel and her body with a separate one and walked out of the bathroom. Walking over to the window Juliet shut the curtains and took out a pastel blue dress.
Once Juliet was done getting ready she took her bag and made her way downstairs her dad already sitting at the kitchen table reading the newspaper and drinking coffee while her mother placed the food on plates. "Good morning." Juliet said pulling out a chair and taking a seat.
"Good morning honey." Juliet's mom said followed by her dad as food was placed in front of her. "Julie, don't forget to come back home right after school so you can finish unpacking your room."
"Does it have to be right after school?" Juliet asked stabbing a piece of sausage with her fork before bringing it up to her mouth. "I wanted to walk around the town for a while, you know look around and maybe see about some school activities? Since there are things I've always wanted to but was never able to..."
Mrs. Sung looked over at Mr. Sung as she took a seat at the table, "What kind of activities?" she asked taking a drink of her coffee.
"I was thinking cheerleading." Juliet answered with a shrug her brown hair falling forward, licking her lips she pushed it back and took a bite of her eggs and then a drink of apple juice. "I also saw this cute little diner; Pop's and I was thinking if I make friends I can take them out."
"I guess that will be fine but try to come home early so you can finish unpacking." Mrs. Sung said. "Go ahead and hurry up, you don't want to be late for the first day of school."
Juliet nodded her head taking her father's cup of coffee drinking the rest and shooting him a smile, she grabbed the piece of bacon off her plate and slung her bag over her shoulder. "I'll wait in the car." Juliet said planting a kiss on her dad's cheek. She then made her way out the door to see Nebula Vera walking out as well.
