Consultations Part 1

[JAE SUK's POV]

*PING!* You have 1 new message.

Oh? Byul messaged me?

To: Jae Suk oppa

From: Byul

Oppa... Can we meet for a drink? I need to ask for some advice...

HMMM... What does is bothering her that she needs to consult me for advice?

To: Byul

From: Jae Suk

Yes of course! Let's meet at XXXX Cafe at 3 pm? See you!

I better get ready then, it's a 45-minute drive from where I am now and it's already 2 pm!

I wonder how the two of them are doing though... Dong Hoon messaged us in the morning that he would want to treat us sometime next week and tell us something. I wonder what that piece of news is!

/ARRIVAL AT THE XXXX CAFE/

"Oppa! Hello!" I see and Byul greets me gesturing me to walk over to where she was seated.

"Ah, hello Byul! So what's up?" I ask her in concern after placing an order for a strawberry cheesecake and banana milkshake.

"Jae Suk oppa... Do you think I should wait for Haha oppa to raise the question about marriage or should I be the one to take the initiative?" She asks me. 

"Omo omo Byul, y'all are going to get married already? Oh, wait, no. You want to settle down with Dong Hoon?" I ask her still in shock, trying to compose myself. 

The waiter puts down our orders and we thank him. 

 "Mmm... you could say that Jae Suk oppa... But should I wait for Haha oppa to be the one to talk about it? I know he is the one, but I'm just wondering if we should talk about it first together." Byul replies in between sips of milk tea. 

I think hard. 

"I think you know Dong Hoon is someone who likes to be a man or at least appear manly in front of others especially someone he loves so much, like yourself. But if you're very sure he's the one for you, you should go for it. Honestly, seeing how in sync you both are, I think he might very well be thinking about the same thing as you right now. So give it a shot!" I tell her warmly in as fatherly a tone I can muster, especially knowing how hard it is for her since her dad wasn't in the best condition. 

[HAHA's POV] 

/BEFORE BYUL LEFT FOR THE CAFE/ 

"Oh! Yeobo... you're going out right now? Will you be able to come back for dinner with Geun Shik and his wife?" I ask her as she steps out of the bathroom in a pretty black dress. 

AW MAN I NEED TO CONTROL MYSELF! BUT SHE'S SO PRETTY!

"Yeah yeobo! I'll be back around 6 pm okay!" She smiles at me warmly and throws me a teasing wink before grinning. 

Aish! She's so cheeky!

"Yeobo!" I call out to her holding her arm before she steps out of the house. 

She turns around and looks at me confused. 

"Stay safe okay!" I tell her and peck her on the lips and turn my back and stroll back to my living room to watch TV. 

I hear her laugh to herself before the door closes. 

I better send a message to Geun Shik.

To: Geun Shik 

From: Dong Hoon 

Geun Shik! I need your help! Can you come over right now?

To: Dong Hoon

From: Geun Shik

Okay!

I really need to ask him how I should propose to Go Eun! Like seriously! My heart is telling me I have to hurry with this!

/GEUN SHIK ARRIVES/

Yah! This guy really! Just enter without calling my name! I could have been naked or something seriously!

"Dong Hoon! What's so urgent that I have to rush over right now?" He asks me, throwing himself on my sofa. 

Well, this was a normal occurrence... After being close friends for 20 years, we had the passcode to each other's house, had access to pretty much everything either one of us owned and we could trust each other with anything. 

"Geun Shik. Do you think, this is the right time to ask for her hand in marriage?" I look into his eyes and ask him in a serious tone. 

He almost drops his mug on the glass table but he regains composure. 

"Dong Hoon ah... I'm proud of you... you've come such a long way... and honestly, go for it. Talk to her about settling down... afterall you have told me about her father. Do this properly okay Dong Hoon. Treat her like a princess, that kid has suffered." He pats me on the shoulder before leaning back on the sofa.

Sorry for the late update! I'm down with gastric flu because of irregular meals so it's taking quite a toll on my body! Plus quite busy with my O level results coming out this Friday! So nervous! But issok! Trusting God! :) Thank you my dear faithful readers! <3
