7:45 p.m. on the way to bill's house

i liked it.

i didn't make that hickey on her jawline purposely... the first one at least...

but it let stan know that she was mine, not officially, but that i loved her.

more than anyone.

i decided to let her figure it out by herself, her reaction would be great.

we were riding our bikes together back to bill's house.

it was almost an hour after curfew, but we didn't care.

the both of us had a fun time together and that's all that mattered.

bill's house was a few more minutes away and the "love mark" was still dark red and clear enough to see.

7:52 at bill's house

"hey bill!" you said with a large smile on your face.

you heard stomping from bill quickly running up the stairs in the basement.

"y/n!" he said panting.

"yes?" you said emphasizing the y.

"y-you're l-late for c-curfew!" he said leading you into the basement placing his hand on your back.

richie followed you and bill downstairs, surprised bill didn't notice her hickey.

"i f-found them g-guys." bill said rolling his eyes.

"where were you guys?"
"it's past 7!"
"thank god you're safe!"
"what were you doing?"

questions circles around the room as you and richie were standing up as bill sat down on the concrete floor.

"calm down, we just hung out for a while..." y/n said.

"we went to the diner," i added

"wait, y-y/n... don't m-move." bill said starting to stand up.

bill stood up from where he was sitting and walked closer to y/n.

he brushed her hair out of her face.

"y-y/n... w-what's... this?" bill said looking at the hickey on her jawline.

"what's what?" y/n said smiling

she looked at bill and saw that his expression was the same. confused.

while looking around the room, you saw bev covering her smile with her hand, ben with wide eyes, stan and mike looking down, and eddie taking a puff from his inhaler.

"wait! here," beverly said as she tossed you a small compact mirror from her pocket.

you opened up the small, light blue, mirror and turned your head to where bill was pointing.

as you turned your head bill kept his finger in the same spot on your face, as he was in shock.

"what the hell?" you said while your laugh got bigger.

you turned to richie as he had a nervous smile on his face.

"this is hilarious dude! look at it!" you said uncontrollably laughing.

you didn't really know why you were laughing. it was just so weird how it looked. adding to the fact that richie did that. wow.

"y-y/n w-was that r-richie's?" bill said giving you a look.

you kept laughing as the losers started joining in on your strange, but usual, behavior.

"y/n!" bill almost yelled, looking scared.

beverly walked up to bill and placed a hand on his shoulder, but shrugged it off.

she was still giggling looking at you holding your hand on your stomach.

"bill, just let go a little bit." bev said half-smiling, but genuinely.

"sh-she can't b-be w-with r-richi-"

"you can't watch over her forever. you aren't one of her parents." she said as bill looked over at you laughing with richie.

i looked over at y/n laughing while she was being held up by richie holding her wrists.

"you can't watch over her forever. you aren't one of her parents."

i looked down at my feet.

beverly wouldn't understand.

would she change?

what if she becomes closer with richie?

what if she forgets about me?

plus, she didn't need her heart broken by anyone. especially someone like richie.

it wasn't for sure that he was going to, but i wouldn't know.

i just couldn't get my head around things.

you were laughing even harder with richie because he made one of his classic stupid jokes.

but your laugh got quieter as you looked over at bill.

he was looking at his feet as beverly rubbed his shoulder and walked away.

was he okay?
