Dawn woke up on the floor. Her hands and legs were restrained. On her right was Lincoln. To their left stood the kid Dawn had threatened to kill when he tried to attack her. He seemed to stand guard for the two prisoners. Dawn new she could kill him given the chance.

"I know you speak English," he stated as he saw her eyes opening. "Or at least you understand it. Your friend wouldn't have given up the antidote if he thought we would kill you."

He was right, but Dawn remained silent.

"I'm Nate, but everyone here calls me Miller. Miller is my last name. What's your name?"

I didn't answer.

"Nou tel op em," (Don't tell him.) Lincoln interrupted.

"Ai nou na." (I won't.)

Someone opened the hatch from below.

"Octavia, you can't be here."

It was the girl from Lincoln's cave.

"Cut it, Miller. I just came to bring them something to eat."

"You're brother said no one is allowed in without him."

"Miller, I don't give a damn what my brother said," Octavia argued as she pushed past the guard.

"Thank you," she said to Dawn. "I know you sounded the horn to warn them. Acid fog, right? Only there was no acid fog. Without you, my friends would be dead, my brother would be dead."

She handed Dawn some food and did the same to Lincoln.

"You're welcome," Dawn muttered to the girl as she got up to leave.

Octavia turned and looked at Dawn with a mix of shock and excitement.

"I knew it," she muttered before leaving.

"Ai nou na frag em op," (I won't kill her.) Dawn promised Lincoln.

She was kind. Dawn couldn't believe that Octavia or the other frightened teenagers could have burned her brother's village to the ground.

Lincoln nodded in response.

"Ste yuj," (Stay strong.) she added after a while.

Later that evening, Bellamy entered the room, followed by some of his minions. Clarke entered a short time after.

"We should kill them. Their people would do the same to us," one of the minions suggested.

"She's the one who blew the horn. She saved us in the forest, Bellamy," Clarke protested.

"She also threatened to kill two of us," Bellamy countered.

"Because we took her friend. She was just trying to save him, same as you did with Octavia."

"So we should just ignore that her friend kidnapped my sister and almost killed Finn?" Bellamy questioned Clarke in an accusing tone.

"Octavia says that she fell down a slope and was injured. He saved her, and she saved us. Haven't we done enough to them. We tortured him and poisoned her," Clarke responded.

"We did what we had to..."

"Just as she did," Clarke interrupted him.

"And what happens if we let them go? They'll run to their people and we'll all be dead by morning. I can't let that happen."

"So what?" Clarke demanded. "We kill them?"

The others began to mutter in approval.

"Not yet," Bellamy interrupted. "If there's another way, we won't, Clarke, but right now I don't see another way."
