Nigella

"Hello, Harry?" I speak through the phone.

"Hey, Nigella. Is your brother alright, now? Is he doing well?" Harry asks, sounding genuinely concerned.

"Yeah, he's fine. But he still needs some rest" I reply. He sighs in relief. "How's Jillian?"

"About that, she wanted to see you. She's doing well.. she's happy" He says.

"I was just wondering about going home, I'll come down to see her and then we can go home together?"

"Sounds good to me"

"Alright, I'll see you in 5" I say before hanging.

I walk down the hallway and look for Jillian's room. I'm pretty sure I remember it. How can I forget? It was such an emotional moment, I don't think I'll forget any part of it. Jillian is such a kind and caring girl. She doesn't deserve this. I snap out of my thoughts as I stumble in front of her room. I hesitantly knock on the door.

The door opens revealing Jillian, Gemma, Harry and a middle-aged woman. The door is being held by a man that kinda resembles to Jillian. I'm guessing it's her father.

"Hello, love. May I help you?"

"Um, I came to visit Jillian" I tuck my hair behind my ear.

"Oh, you must be Nigella. I'm Michal, Jillian's Dad. Nice to meet you" He offers his hand that I gladly take and give it a shake.

"You too" I nod and smile. He steps aside and lets me enter. Jillian squeals excitedly and opens her arms wide for me to hug her. I run into her arms and pull her into a tight hug.

"I missed you" She mumbles into my shoulder.

"I missed you too, bubba" I kiss her hair.

"I heard you brother's sick. Is he doing okay, now?" She frowns.

"Yeah he's better, how are you doing?" I pinch her cheeks making her giggle.

"I'm good"

"Nigella" Harry calls. I turn to look at him standing beside the beautiful middle-aged woman that looks awfully similar to him. "This is my Mum. Mum, this is my..um..my-uh- erm- Nigella"

"Hello, Harry's Nigella" She smiles, cheekily and pulls me into a hug. I can see Harry blushing from the corner of my eyes. "Thank you for fulfilling Jill's last wish, deary. I can't thank you enough"

"It was an honour for me. No need to thank me, ma'am" I tell her.

"Oh, no need to call ma'am. Call me, Anne" She argues.

"Just so you know, it's Anne with an 'e'" Harry adds making us all laugh.

"Right" Anne giggles and nods.

"Hey Nigella, I heard you're staying with Harry. I feel sorry for you, it must be so annoying staying with him" Gemma smirks.

"Excuse me, I'm not annoying" Harry defends himself.

"Sure" She rolls her eyes. "But just so you know, all of us are here for you"

"Thank you, Gemma. It means a lot" I say, sincerely.

All of them are truly amazing people. Anne is one of the most kindest woman I've ever met. Now I see where Harry gets it from. Also, Anne is gorgeous so it'd make sense for Gemma and Harry to be as stunning as her. I felt so warm and welcomed with them. They all were so nice. So was Michal. Gemma truly deserves an amazing man like Michal.

"I think we should leave now" Harry announces.

"Already?" Anne's shoulders slump down. "I haven't seen you in a while and you're already leaving"

"Mum, come on. You're staying at my flat, you'll see me tonight. So don't be sad" Harry hugs her and kisses her head.

"I love you, my baby"

"I love you too, Mummy"

I swallow the lump in my throat and wipe my watery eyes. I take deep breaths and slump down in the car seat. Harry looks over at me and then looks at the road again, driving with concentration.

"What's wrong, love?" He puts his hand on my lap and takes my hand in his. He gently caresses my knuckles.

"I'm fine" I lie and look away.

"No you're not" He states. "Tell me what's wrong"

"Fine..it just made me kind of sad. You know, the way Anne was so loving towards you, it reminded me of my mother. I don't like thinking of her because...bad memories come back" I bite my lip.

"Oh, Nigella" Harry sighs as he pulls the car in front of his apartment building.

"It made me happy, though. Your Mum loves you so much. You deserve it" I tell him.

"Thank you, Nigella. I wish I could help you with what you're going through" He squeezes my hand.

"No one has been able to help me" My voice distant and cold. My eyes drift off to him. He stares at me intently with nothing but affection.

"I'm willing to try. If you'll let me" He says.

"I know you'll give up" I shake my head.

"I'll never know if I don't try" He shrugs. "And you're too precious to be given up on"
