Shut Up and Kiss Me

Chapter 1

Lyrah's P.O.V

I was walking down the street listening to my favorite song on my iPod. My phone rang so I put my song on pause and answered the call.

"Hello?" I heard shuffling on the other end and waited a few minutes before saying hello again.

"Hello, is someone there?" The call ended and all I heard was the dial tone. I shrugged my shoulders and continued playing my song.

I finally got home after a long walk from Lyrik's house and my mom was making dinner. "Mommy! I'm home!" I called out as she came to the door.

"Hi sweetie, have fun at Lyrik's house?" She smiled wiping her hands on a dish towel.

"Yeah, we watched a few movies and called Jasper over." I left out the part about the phone call on the walk home. My phone rang and I seen it was Lyrik so I answered it quickly.

"Hey Lear what's up?" She shuffled a little probably putting the movies away.

"Hey Ly, and just pushin' Jasp out the door." We both laughed

"That's cool, um did you get a weird call where all you heard was shuffling on the other end?" I waited a few minutes as I heard her shut the door.

"Um yeah, how'd you know about that Ly?" I heard her open the fridge.

"Because I got one too, and I was wondering if maybe it was just a wrong number or if it was someone trying to scare me." I ran up the stairs to me room plopping down on the black comforter.

"I think it was someone tryin' to scare us Ly, and Jasp is comin' over your house, he's on his way." I was quiet for a minutes thinking why in the world would Jasper wanna come over here when he could have stayed at Lear's?

"Um, thanks Lear."

"You're welcome and I gotta go I'll call ya back in a few, love ya Ly, bye."

"Love ya too Lear, bye." She hung up and I heard the door to my room being opened and I saw Jasper standing in the doorway. I screamed and ran to him hugging him.

"Jaspie!!!" He hugged back and looked at me. I was the only one he let call him Jaspie. I think its cute and suits him perfectly.

"Hey there Skay, what's up?" He went over and sat on my bed. I let him call me by my middle name I don't know why but I liked it when he did.

"Nothing really, just got off the phone with Lear. Are you stayin' the night?" I sat beside him

"Yeah, if your mom don't mind then I will." He smiled and looked at me leaning in to kiss my cheek. Jasper was my second best friend. He has jet black hair and to die for silver eyes that are to die for. I'd never date him though because Lyrik has a major crush on him and I think he likes her back. He moved to this boring city of Crystalwater California a few years ago.

"So Jaspie, What ya wanna do while we wait for dinner to get done?" I looked into his silver eyes and smiled. I had jet black hair that reached just below my shoulders with a lip ring on the right side of my bottom lip. I wasn't your average preppy teenage girl. I was more laid back than most and didn't really let anything affect me like most girls these days. My eyes were electric blue, which I got from my mom, and I've never seen anyone with these kind of eyes other than me and my mom. Jasper began to say something so I looked up into his silver eyes again.

"How about we watch some scary movies all night long?" He grinned at me and took my hand.

"Totally up for that Jaspie." I smiled pulling my hand away from his as I got up to get a good movie. I grabbed The Devil Inside and put it in, but paused it 'cause mom called us down for dinner. I poked Jasper's arm and ran down the stairs yelling back at him.

"You're it!" I screamed as I felt him pick me up by the waist pulling me against his chest. My brother, Jayson, looked at us and made a kissy face.

"I'm gonna kill you for that you little twerp!" I ran after him but Jasper grabbed my waist again tightening his grip.

"Calm down Skay, you're gonna hurt yourself." He smiled and let me go

"I'm still gonna kill him, pleaseeee let me?" I gave him puppy dog eyes and he smiled.

"No Skay, besides, him and Emma would get along perfectly." He smiled again and walked into the kitchen.

"Why don't we go pick up Emma so Jayson can have a playmate, what do ya say?" I grinned and he smiled grabbing the keys to his car. He went back in the kitchen and I ran upstairs going into my room. I pulled on some black skinny jeans with a black tanktop and lime green cropped shirt with a scratched up heart on it. I put on a light ammount of eyeliner and mascara straightening my hair. I grabbed Jasper's leather jacket running down the stairs stopping at the door sliding on my black combat boots.

"Jaspie I'm ready lets go." He came out of the kitchen and his jaw dropped.

"Damn girl, You can look amazing without even trying." I blushed and grabbed his arm.

"Come on lets go." I yelled back at my mom on the way out.

"Mommy! We'll be back in a bit we are going to pick up Jasper's little sister Emma!" I ran out the door to Jasper's car and got in the passenger seat getting comfortable.
