I felt Jc sigh behind me as I gripped on the hook attached to my body.
We were one a couples vacation and Jc thought it would be a great idea to go ziplining. Yeah, it looked cool, tropical, and the area was very safe, but I think that he forgot about my terrible fear of heights. I just might faint if I go on that thing.
"But we're gonna go together, I'll be here the whole time, holding you're hand."
"But look at how high it is! I feel like I could fall any second."
"That's why you have a safety harness on.."
"You never know. Anything could happen."
"Well, can't argue with that, but still, there's a very rare chance of it breaking."
"I don't know Jc..."
"Come just think about it. You may never have the opportunity to zip line again. Look around, we're in this beautiful tropical forest, and we should enjoy the nature around us. You have one life to live, Y/n, you might as well make the best of it."
I looked down at my feet, then back at Jc. I gave him a small smile and held my harness tighter.
"I'm gonna do it."
"That's my girl.", Jc smiled as we walked up closer to the edge.
I looked at the trees around us and then at the ground. My face began to get very pale and my body stiffened. Jc noticed and grabbed my hand.
"I've got you. You're safe with me."
I squeezed his hand a took a deep breath.
"On 3. 1...2...3."
The wind swept through my hair as we both jumped down from the edge. I closed my eyes and screamed as if I was at a Justin Bieber concert. I suddenly regreted my decision.
"Open your eyes, babe! Enjoy the view!"
I thought of the words Jc told me before we jumped off and slowly opened my eyes. My eyes widened at the sight in front if me.
Palm trees filled with coconuts and beautiful exotic flowers was all I could see. The wonderful tropical air filled my nose and it felt as if I was in paradise. I looked over at Jc who was in awe himself.
I laughed in excitement and continued to looked around. I let out a scream once more, but this times it was in happiness. I was enjoying myself. For the first time in a long while.
I suddenly let my arms out, just to get the full effect of feeling free. I heard Jc cheer behind me. He had his phone out recording. I just laughed it off and continued to take in the view.

Soon the journey was over and Jc and I stepped out of our harnesses. We thanked the people that helped us and went on our way.
"Did you have fun?"
"I did. I had a lot of fun."
"See, I told you it wasn't gonna be so bad."
"And I appreciate you for that. You're advice really helped."
