The Escape

POV Alphie
I woke to the sound of shouting, looking round disoriented as the memory of last night came back, i had run from my aunts with the twins.
I eased out of the bed and crept to the door, carefully opening it enough to hear what was going on.
Aunt Miriam's voice echoed up the hallway, with other voices I didn't know around it, then I heard the twins.
"This is crazy, your niece is not here" Theo lies
"You were the last seen with her, where is my niece" she shouts.
"We left after we danced with her, came back here as we had packing to do, your valet saw us leave, spoke to us, if your niece had been with us her would have seen it" Xav states coolly.
A mans voice cuts in "gentlemen do you have any idea of where Lady Alfreda could have gone, did she say anything to you"
"Chief inspector, she danced with us, seemed a little upset at all the attention, excused herself and a little after that we left, are you accusing us of something here?" Theo replied.
I sucked in a breathe, my aunt had involved the police, why?
The man spluttered "of course not, there is no accusation but Lady Miriam is concerned for her nieces welfare"
"Is she not an adult, could she not have just left" Xav questions.
"She is my heir, she is her fathers heir, my niece has responsibilities and I want her back" Aunt Miriam snaps.
"Miriam, she is not here, my sons have told you this, if you don't believe them then by all means take a look round but I am really not happy about your accusations so I would like you to go" a woman's voice says.
"Mum..." Xav growls.
Ah so that's his mother, I hold my breathe again as I hear grumbling and then the slam of the door.
"Bloody woman" I hear
"Boys, whatever you are up to and I really don't want to know, but be very careful, Miriam can be pure evil"
"Mum, we don't ..." Theo starts
"Don't, just don't lie to me" I hear her snap at them.
I shrink back into the room at the sound of footsteps coming up the stairs, moving back to the bed and pretending to be asleep.
I hear a light knock then the door opens, keeping my eyes shut and breathing steady I hear them move closer.
"She's beautiful" Theo murmurs
"She is" Xav agrees "we need to wake her up so we can get going soon and definitely before her aunt comes back but I want to keep her in our bed forever"
I feel a finger gently trace my cheek and fight to remain still.
"Do you think she knows" Xav asks softly. I can hear him moving around the room lifting things and then a small ping sounds from both their phones.
"That she's ours, no not yet, but she will" Theo replies, his voice sounding closer, it must be his finger on my face.
"And if she doesn't want us both"
"We will just need to show her she's wrong, patience Xav, let's get her back to Oxford and go from there"
"Do you think she will come home with us, I don't like to think of her on her own, especially if Miriam's after her"
"We will talk to her on the way home, offer her some security from Miriam" Theo says to him quietly.
"She looks so peaceful, let's leave her sleeping till we're nearly ready to go, come on we can get the car packed up, then bring her up some breakfast"
"Okay" Theo murmurs and I hear them leave.
Once the door closes my body relaxes and I think about what just happened, my body heats at what they are suggesting, a relationship with both of them but they would control me, I can recognise the Dom in them both and I know if I let them in they would completely take me over. I can't let that happen, I have a plan, a future ,my own choices, independence... a word that now sounds hollow as I think about it because of them.
I need to get away from them but how, I need to get back to Oxford and they are my best option for that, but I need to be ready to escape and I need somewhere to hide out..
I grab my phone and scroll through hitting dial when I get to the right number
"Colin, I need your help" I say as he picks up.
"Alphie"
"I'm on my way back to Oxford today and I might need picking up and a place to stay for a few days"
"Sure, but why what's wrong"
"My aunts on the warpath, I can't go home till she calms down" I tell him part of the issue
"Hey, no problem, just say where and when"
"I owe you Colin, I'll let you know once I'm there but the services on the A34, I'll wait in the corner by the children's park not in the main building but I'll let you know when I get to there"
"Alphie, do you need me to come and get you from your aunts."
"God no, I'm not there, I'm with....a friend"
I hear footsteps and voices coming this way "Colin I've got to go" I whisper and hang up, checking my phone in my bag and sitting as if I've just woken up.
I hear a quiet knock "yes" I call quietly and the door opens to Theo and Xav with a tray.
"Hey, we brought you some breakfast, did you sleep okay" Xav asks putting the tray down on my lap and sitting on the bottom of the bed.
I blush at the attention and my memories of their whispered words earlier "yes thank you"
"We are packed and ready to get underway as soon as you've eaten and are ready" Theo tells me watching me closely.
"Thanks, I just need a quick shower then I'll be ready" I reply avoiding his gaze.
"We will be back in a little while, stay in this room so no one see you, we wouldn't want your aunt to know you were here"
I laugh "that woman is a menace, I hope I'm not causing you any trouble" I say, wondering if they will tell me about her visit and the police.
"No trouble at all " Xav replies getting up and standing next to Theo both of the towering over me in the bed.
I gulp at the sight, my body heating again at their proximity and they both look at me as if they want to eat me, I shiver looking up at them.
"Please go, I need to get up" I whisper.
"Are you telling us what to do?" Theo growls at me.
My head drops "no sir" I whisper.
A Finger comes under my chin lifting it up and my gaze is caught "so perfect" Xav groans leaning forward to kiss my forehead.
"We will leave you to get ready" he says before leaving the room with Theo.
I set the tray to the side and flop back against the pillows. oh my god, they'll be the end of me, I can't believe how I react to them, I've never felt this with anyone before making sure very thing was back in my bag.
I quickly shower and get dressed before making sure very thing was back in my bag, I tucked my phone, purse and keys into my pocket but on make sure my phone is on silent so I could call Colin when I was nearly there and then sat on the bed to wait for them.
"Ready" Theo asked me opening the door and taking my bag from me.
"Yes" I say hopping up and towards the door before hesitating, "is there anyone here?"
"No, my parents said goodbye earlier, it's just us"
I sighed in relief and followed him downstairs and out to the car where Xav is holding open the passenger door for me, I hesitate, I can't text Colin if I sit in the front, "I'll sit in the back, I'm still a little tired and can doze on the way" I tell him softly.
He smiles and opens the rear door instead "of course, just let me know if you need anything" he says as Theo starts the car and Xav gets in next to him.
Classical music plays quietly as we start the drive, "what are you studying" Xav as kings looking back at me.
"Computer and forensic sciences" I tell him
"Impressive, how much longer till you graduate" he asks sounding interested
I smile "one more term, then I'm done and I'll be freelance"
"Freelance?" He questions
"Yes, I already do a little work on the side of my course for the police and I have a couple of companies that pay me to do random checks on their security so I'll be doing more of that" I tell him.
I catch Theo's eyes in the mirror and he winks "sounds interesting and what do you do in your free time" he asks
"I have a study group I meet with and we go out sometimes but I'm focused on my studies at the moment, and will be more so now, I know Aunt Miriam will pull my tuition money so I will have to use my own to finish my course"
"We can" he starts to say as I shout "NO" before blushing at my raised voice.
"Thank you but I can manage, I can't take money from you, we've only just met and you've already helped me enough"
"Alphie, we want to help you" Theo tells me.
"Thank you but I will be okay" I tell him softly. "If it's okay I'm going to nap for a bit" I tell them, curling to the side and ending the conversation.
I faked sleeping until I saw we were ten miles from the services and faked stretching.
"Hey can we stop, I need to use the bathroom" I ask as I am texting Colin that I will be there in 15 minutes. I hold my phone down to my side as his replies 'on my way'
We pull into the services and they follow me inside, I need to get away from them, how , how, how , "can we get a coffee."
"Sure we'll go queue while you use the bathroom
Xav tells me and I watch them walk towards the restaurant, they look back once and I wave before heading down the corridor to the restrooms, passing them by as soon as I was out of their sight and started running out the rear access towards the play park.
I kept looking round, they still had my bag but I wasn't worried I had my phone, keys and purse so could manage.
I hid by the climbing frame waiting for Colin to pull in, seeing his car I rushed out and threw myself inside before he had stopped.
"What the hell, Alphie, what's wrong"
"I'll explain later but can we please go quickly" I beg watching the main doors worried they would be looking for me.
"Okay but I want the truth" he replied driving towards the exit. I slide lower in the seat as we pass the building and hold me breath till we exit the services and I have escaped them.
