Chapter 5

The next morning. Serena got up and showered. Then told aleah what had happened she freaked as expected. After i told aleah what had happened i decided to text chloe and sasha.

"Hey guys i got some news for you." serena sent.

Sasha texted back first. "What is it." she said.

"I am going on a date with carson and i have no idea what to wear or do." she sent in the group chat.

"Girl we got you don't worry. Sasha you get your hair stuff and i will bring some dresses. Serena we will be over at four okay." chloe said.

"Alright see ya." serena said then turned her phone on sleep mode.

It was only ten so serena went out back to the shed and got her bike out. It was a pretty cool day not too hot so why stay in the house alone. Mom was at work and caleb was at his friend thomas's house. So she went for a ride she decided to ride to the beach. As she passed the houses on her street she noticed it was quiet no one was really out. Everyone must have been at church it is a sunday anyway.

The bike ride was fun i hadn't been able to ride in a while because it was cold in the mid to low twenties in kentucky around the winter time. When she got down to the beach she stopped by the ice cream shop there because she was craving a lemonade slushie. And sitting at the table was jake and shawn. So serena walked rolled her bike over to the bike stand and went over to their table.

"Hey shawn hey jake what are you guys doing here." serena said and sat down at their table.

"Well i was talking to shawn i was thinking about asking sasha out tomorrow." jake said.

"Oh that's cool i think you two would be great." serena said.

"Yeah so what brings you here serena." shawn asks.

"Well i wanted to go for a little bike ride." serena said.

"Oh cool you have fun?" jake asked.

"Yep. well i got to go chloe and sasha are coming over soon." serena said.

"Alright see you. But please don't tell sheila okay." jake said.

"I won't." she got her slushie then grabbed her bie and left for home. It was only a fifteen minute ride from her home to the beach so it wasn't that long to get home.

As she was riding home she passed through a little alleyway and heard a little meow. It came from behind the dumpster. Serena got off her bike and leaned it up against the dumpster then walked around to the side and in the back corner was a small white, brown and black kitten. She looked only a month old. Serena called out to the kitten.

"Here kitty kitty." it backed away at first but then it slowly walked towards serena. It sniffed her hand then rubbed its head against her hand. Serena stood up and took off her jacket to wrap the kitten in. it made a small meow when it was picked up. Serena put it in the basket. Then rode home rode home.

She was there by twelve thirty. Once she got home she found some hot dogs in the fridge and cut them up, and put them on a plate. She set it on the floor for the kitten. As the kitten ate she got a bowl of water for the kitten.

Serena thought what would her mom say about the kitten? Would she make her give it up? Would she let her keep it? She was going to tell her mom as soon as she got home.

Her mom got home a little after one. She came in the kitchen, and saw the kitten.

"Serena what is this?" her mom asked.
