Brooklyn POV

I had finished cleaning the sofa as Tae browsed through his phone.

"I'm done" I said as he looked up and put his phone away.

"Yeah, um my mother wants you to come over for lunch." He sounded like he barely remembered.

I brushed my edges with my hands. " Okay, I'm going to freshen up and I'll be back. "

He nodded his head as he pulled back out his phone.

I wanted to ask him why he's so busy but I decided not to as I jogged up the stairs to my room.

I took a brisk shower as I scrubbed that douche Jungkook off of me. Who thought that he was such a dick, I should have known better.

After ten minutes I came out with my towel tied around me as I went over to my closet.

I pulled out a cropped hoodie and a high waisted jeans.

I got dressed as I let my semi dry hair down to air dry.

"Let's go" I called out as I walked down the stairs. "Tae?" I called when I saw he wasn't in the living room.

Where is he?

I searched until I walked to the back door to see him on his phone on the swings.

"Tae?" I called as he looked back at me and put his finger in the air for me to wait till he's done.

I scoffed as I walked back to get my sandals. "Who's he talking to?" I mumbled as I strapped my shoes up.

"Sorry" he came in with a smile as he locked the door.

"Who was that?" I asked concerned.

He pulled out his phone as he showed me a picture, the same I received from earlier.

"I got one too" I told him and he rubbed his hands through his hair.

"I had to talk to Varonica, since she's sending the original picture out. "

My eyes grew wide. "I thought you spoke to her about that, now she's sending it out."

"I forgot and it's not like it matters, you and Jungkook aren't together anymore."

I got up as I stood before him. "I know but I don't want people to see us making out. In school." I whispered the last part.

"It doesn't matter, they'll just be jealous it isn't them." He said as he walked pass me and opened the door.

"Let's go, it's late and my mom is going to be pissed if her food goes to waste"

"Okay" I breathed out.

"Oh Brooklyn. You're even more beautiful"  Mrs Kim pulled me into a suffocating hug.

I hugged her as I laughed. "You too Mrs Kim." She let me out the hug.

"Thanks, I thought Tae lost his way since you guys took so long to come." She glared at Taehyung as he just stood there.

"Mom, I'm hungry" he whined as he ignored her and walked to the dining hall.

I laughed as she watched him walk pass her. "He needs to grow up." She said as she looked back at me with a smile.

"Come, I cooked." She grabbed my hands.

We all sat at the table as Marie placed our plates infront of us. We said Grace and began to dig in.

The table was awfully quiet and I knew something was up.

"So how's your stay, Mrs Kim?" I asked making her look at me with soft eyes.

"Its great, I got to see my handsome young man" she smiled as she looked at Tae who was still eating.

He didn't say anything. "Tae?" I called making him look up. "What's the matter?"

"Nothing" he replied as he began eating again.

I looked over to his mother as she just watched me with doey eyes.

"I'll ask your father to stay longer." She finally said.

He choked. "Okay, that's great" he said dryly.

"Are you serious, Tae?. I'm finally staying longer and your're not even happy" she argued.

"Mom he hasn't said if you could stay yet, so nothing is really there to celebrate." He replied as he pushed his plate away from him.

They bickerd for a while as I felt myself being in the middle.

"I'm going to go now" I said as they both looked at me.

"I'll take you" Tae shot up from his seat.

"No, you're home alone. Stay here tonight" his mother added.

I thought for a while. "I don't know, I don't want to take up space" I added.

"Silly, you're always welcomed" she said as she got up from her seat.

I smiled. "Marie is the guest room clean!?" She shouted.

"No, ma. It has all your designs."

"Hmm the one down stairs?"

"Taehyung, had turned that into his man cave."

Mrs Kim inhaled harshly. "You'll stay in my room"

"No, she'll stay in mine" Taehyung blurted out, catching both of us off guard.
