I am so sorry to my loyal readers that i have not uploaded in a while. Working 17 straight days at work is killing me and i have no passion to write with being this tired. But here is chapter 8 enjoy

“Oh shit” I mumble trying to make my way over to the bed. Sitting down I hung my head taking in deep breaths trying to slow my breath and heart. A light knock wavered my attention to my bedroom door as Maya began to open it.

“Are you alright Mistress Anne” She asked bowing a little towards me. “Addison demanded I come and check on you. He said he sensed something was wrong with you.”

“Tell him I am fine, and if he wants to know about me he can walk up here himself and see if I’m okay.” I growled.  “Is he down stairs or did he leave for Vermont already?”

“He is down stairs in the kitchen with his brother.” She said quickly moving out of the room as I ran past her to the hidden stairs that went into the kitchen. Both boys looked up as I entered with a glare straight at Addison. Matthew stood up, gathering his things before leaving the kitchen as quickly as he could.

“Awe we were just talking about you. Are you doing alright?” He asked putting his feet up on the table.

“I’m doing fine and if you were so concerned you would have come up stairs to see if I was okay, not send my servant.” I yelled. “I’m still pissed at you.”

“Oh tell me Anne, what has displeased you so.” He smirked.

“What you did today was uncalled for.”  I said knocking his feet from the table. “Didn’t your mother teach you any manners?”

“Why yes she did, but I don’t see why I have to obey them in my own house.” He said putting them back on the table.

“How could you just kill her like that?” I asked. “It took the scientist almost five years to make the clone blood from nothing. She doesn’t complete the research in two years and you kill her.”

“We have different standards here than you do back in England.” He commented. “I wanted the research to be done in two years, I even was so nice enough to give her six more months than what she had and she still disappointed me when no results were found. If I do not show what kind of leader I am the whole vampiric community with think I am weak for going soft on one person.”

“So you would rather show that you’re an asshole than a person who could understand the needs of other people.” I yelled in anger.

“You look beautiful when your angry.” He pointed out.

“Oh fuck this it’s pointless trying to talk to a wall.” I said beginning to walk away till Addison grabbed my arm to pull me back to him.

“Come to dinner with me.” He pleaded as though he was begging.

“I would rather eat rat poison.” I say slapping his hand away before leaving the room. Stopping half away in the hall way I take a couple of deep breaths before rounding the corner to the living room. Maya and Matthew is sitting on the sofa talking amongst themselves which made my anger evaporate and smile spread across my face.   Since Maya has come to live in America she has come out of her shell. Being Vlad’s house seems to make everyone stay on their toes for the fear of losing them. Her eyes seem to glow and her worries disappear into nothing.

“Oh Lady Anne.” She began to get up

“There is no need for you to bow to me all the time. I’m not even royalty here.” I say holding up my hand as she eased back down into the seat. Matthew patted the seat next to him on the couch, secretly asking me to sit next to him. Plopping down, I prop my feet up on his knees.
