Erin's POV.

It's not that I haven't felt used before. I mean, I think we all get used a little bit, by someone, to some extent. Remember, these things can be minor. For example, Jake will put on a smile and be extremely nice to me, then steal my homework out of my book bag when I'm not looking. Another example could be when my Dad notices I'm cleaning the kitchen; then, he'll say, "Thanks Erin. Now while your at it, why don't you just dust the attic for me?" I can handle those little mishaps.

But what Ashley did wasn't just using; it was utter violation.

And while I was walking with Jake on our way to school, it seemed as though the sunshine, beautiful weather, and green grass mocked me, reminding me that while the world was all gum drops and happy, I wasn't.

"Erin, what's on your mind?" Jake asks. I knew that he meant to come off as a bit more sincere than that, but I can still hint a tone of annoyance in his voice.

"Oh nothing," I shake my head and quickly smile, trying to cover up the inner battle of emotions I had conflicting within my heart and head.

"Mhm, then why are you wearing sunglasses, a dark hoodie, and walking with your head down. The FBI after you?" he raises his eye brow at me.

"Oh, this ole thing?" I nervously laugh. "Well, Jake, I think it's purely coincidence that I'm wearing this."

"Admit it. You're hiding."

"Hiding from what? "

"From everyone? Because of what Skankshly did."

"Dude," I warn. I don't care what she did. I don't appreciate people talking about her like that, especially around me.

"I'm sorry, but you know it's true."

"Alright, alright. I'll admit it, okay? I'm hiding." Truth was, our neighborhood consisted of a small town. Everything is basically within a circle of each other. The school, stores, everything. Everyone knew everybody, so I knew it wouldn't be difficult for people to say, 'hey, isn't that Robert and Miranda's boy'. On the other hand, someone from our school would probably say, 'Hey, isn't that the chump who fell for Ashley's little game?'

High school kids. Gotta love em.

"Erin, you can't keep hiding your whole life from everyone and everything. What about the the other boys she did this to? Do you think they're hiding?" he asks.

"No, and if they aren't, they should be. Everyone knows Jake. Everyone saw what she did. And once I get to school, it's gonna go down," I huff in frustration.

"What exactly do you mean it's gonna go down," he asks, motioning his fingers with air quotes.

"The humiliation, the constant taunting. We're dealing with South Shore kids here"

"Speaking of South Shore kids," Jake looks over to me nervously.

When I looked up, I saw exactly what he was referring to.

And what he was referring to was sitting on the top of the fence of his house, smoking his troubles away.

"Jesus Christ," I mutter

South Shore's ultimate Duche Bag:

Chris Thomas

Now, I know people may think that we guys are highly sensitive and overbearing, but Chris is a whole different story. He is ruthless and heartless. I mean He should have been born a girl. Jake even told me that he thought Chris and Ashley were fraternal twins separated at birth.
