I blinked a few times trying to fix my blurry vision...it looked like I was in the middle of an empty, old library. All of a sudden two long rows of tall, dark, wooden bookshelves appeared on each side of me and raced as far as my eyes could see....That doesn't happen in real life.
Am I dreaming?
Duh Monroe, I'm clearly dreaming.
"You are." An appealing male voice behind me declared startling me. I turned around to be faced with a beautiful, unfamiliar man wearing an all red suit with polished, dark red dress shoes. I looked back up at him to find he had irresistible chocolate eyes.
He smiled, "You like my shoes, love?"
I giggled and looked back at them, "Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen any shoes like that."
Wait am I dreaming?
I looked back down to the ground and noticed there was a grey fog. I know I fell asleep earlier, I have to be dreaming. But, why haven't I woken up?
I looked back up at him to find him in a thick, red wine colored, velvet, hooded robe. The end of the sleeves had golden tassels that seemed to move at their own rhythm. The large hood cast dark a shadow over his medium brown skin, but I could still see his eyes and soft smile. He didn't mention his sudden change of clothing, but instead remained completely silent. Next thing I knew fear began to rise through my stomach into my chest.
I squeezed my eyes shut and breathed in deep to wake myself up. But when I opened my eyes, the man was still standing in front of me."A-Am I dead?" I asked.
His eyebrows rose as he removed the hood from his head, revealing the smooth waves in his short, black, course hair.
"I don't mean to scare you, I just wanted to meet you," He replied softly, "I've heard you were pretty, but you're freakin gorgeous."
I was flattered, yet still confused. I felt comfortable with him but I couldn't get over the fact that I was asleep. This is the coolest thing ever, but I don't know what's going on.
I stood in place, looking at all of the crowded bookshelves lined on the sides of us.
"Are you real?" I asked him.Suddenly I sat up, breathing heavily in my warm bed. I laid back down and covered my face with my hands to find that my forehead was drenched with sweat.
Then I heard soft giggling on my bedroom floor.
"Did you have a dream you fell off a roof or somethin'?"
I rolled my eyes and chuckled, "No...It was a pretty crazy dream though."
Carly slowly sat up and leaned against the side of my bed, "What happened?"
I leaned on my elbow and wiped my face, thinking about what I saw...slowly forgetting small details.
"I was in this library and I saw a guy wearing these cool dark red shoes and he was so fine." Carly laughed as I continued, "But it's like I knew I was dreaming! I swear I tried to wake up and everything."
She arched her eyebrow at me, "You knew you were dreaming in your dream?"
"On God."
"Wow, No more drinking for you." She laughed rolling her eyes and laid back on her pillow, "Goodnight, we have school in like 3 hours."
I laid back down, wrapping myself in my warm, blue comforter. I don't even think I studied for my science test tomorrow.
I closed my eyes thinking about the guy in the red cloak. He kind of had an English accent. I wonder where I've seen him before for him to show up in my dream...
