The Tales Of Obi

Episode 2

Ok wait,

It's not like he's the exact guy in my dream...
Is he?

When did he even get here?
"I'm Monroe," I forced out of my stupid mouth.
He scrunched his eyebrows at me, but before he could say anything I grabbed my books, rushed through the desks and out of the door.

I can't even fake a normal conversation with him, that's the exact same man from my dreams! Everything about him was the same from his voice to those eyes.

The moment I spotted Carly in the hallway I had to tell her.
"Carly!" I grunted through my teeth.
She stopped at her locker and turned around reading my face immediately, "What's up with you?" She asked.

"The guy from my dream!" I desperately tried to explain, "Look he's about to come out."

"What!?" She asked.
"The guy in all those dreams! I woke up in class and he was in my class sitting right  next to me."

Before I knew it, Rayne walked out of the classroom door and turned, walking down the hall.

Wow, he didn't even look at me.

"That's him!" I said.

She looked at me then rolled her eyes, "Wait, him?"
"Yes!"
She nodded, "That's Rayne!"

Hold up- What?

"You know him?" I asked.
She tilted her head, "You don't know who he is?"

"THAT'S THE GUY FROM MY DREAM!"

She covered my mouth and looked around at everyone in the hall. Nobody heard me but I know they'd probably think I was crazy if they had.

"Bruh, what are you talking about?"
"Who is he?" I asked.
"That's Rayne Amini."
"Rayne Amini?"
"Yeah! Look, everyone thought Leah Amini was coming to our school because she's the youngest. But, turns out she's not the youngest and there's another sibling named Rayne. And I was like, duh!  Because Leah is like twenty one why would she be in high school-"

"He's been in all of the dreams I had when I couldn't wake up, Carly."
She opened her locker and grabbed a different folder, "Well he's a celebrity too...I guess. You've probably seen a picture of him."

Why does she keep doubting me?

"First of all, I didn't even know there was any other siblings in the first place! I thought it was just Jackie Amini!"

"Yeah cause you're a lame."

I rolled my eyes, "Carly I swear I have never seen him before."
"What do you want me to do about it!?" She berated. I could hear her breathing heavily as I stood there looking stupid.

I have no idea what she's supposed to do, I just wanted a little support.

"Look, I love you Roe. I believe you, just figure it out. Go ask him yourself. I gotta go to my next class."
I watched her walk into her class as the hallway cleared. How do I figure this out?

I started to walk around the hallway the same way Rayne went. The bell hasn't rang yet so maybe I can catch him. I just need to ask him if I know him...or something.

Yeah, I have to ask him something.

I walked around the corner into the dark  empty staircase and was shocked to spot him walking down the steps. His eyes met mine and he gave me a soft smile, not taking his focus off of the steps.

"Um," I mumbled, "You're Rayne, right?"
He walked to the last step and stood as if he was already on the ground...

I don't know why that irritates me.
