Hm... How do I do this... Should I just write it as if I'm talking with my friends? By saying 'guys'? Or should I just write a simple 'Dear diary'? Ugh I'm so bad at this.
Well, hello! Mom bought me this notebook yesterday. She wants me to start writing about my days. She thinks it will help me to express myself. She knows I am so interested in books. So, she bought it for me. An empty one. Maybe it can help me to focus on my interest, so i can have great future ahead. Lol.
So here I am. I don't know how to do it the right way. But, maybe that is it for today. See you tomorrow!

Present
It's my 3rd year living here, in Boston. Boston has always been my dream since I was little. I used to live in Philadelphia with my family. Don't get me wrong, I liked Philly, especially my neighborhood. I look at the pictures that we took several years ago. It's the picture that we took during our last camping trip. We've always camped out together, at least thrice a year with the whole families. It made us closer. By us, I mean me and the two girls who were out there helping me unpack.
I spent more than half of my age with Lily and Lynn. Our parents always joked about fate brought us together and how all of our names started with an 'L'. Liz, Lily, and Lynn. To be exact, it is Lizzy, Lily, and Evelyn.
I met the two of them when I was in 1st grade of elementary school. The teacher made me sit with Lily, and Lynn sat beside us with someone called Andie. Few days later, we just realized that we lived in the same neighborhood. Which brought us even closer. Also, the three of us were an only child. So, our parents were really happy to see us play with each other. We would spent most of our weekend in each other's home, baking cookies, watching movies, and other stuffs.
Oh, and Andie? We were close. But she moved out of the city right before we enroll in junior high. That was the last time we heard from her.
The three of us also went to the same junior and senior high in Philly. Many people asked whether we've ever got bored of each other. Well, we don't. As we grew up, we became too busy to meet up with each other. But at the end of the day, somehow we would always make time for each other. We always had. We stayed with each other during every meaningful time of our life. First crush, first love, first heartbreak... That sums it all.
"Liz? You there?"
Lily wakes me from my daydream. Seeing these photos and diary makes me reminisce how much I loved Philly. Yes, I use past tense.
I walk to the door, and unlock it. "Yep?"
"Why did you lock the door?" She asks curiously while taking a glance to my room. She is right. I never locked the door to my room, even when I was in Philly.
"It's a habit. I started locking my door since I lived by myself," I lie to her. I just needed time to figure out what I am going to do with that box. A box that holds so much memories of Philly.
She just nods her head. "Are you done unpacking? Lynn and I have already unpacked everything in the living room. We're starving," she adds.
"Yeah, I'm done. I can't thank you both enough for helping me moving in here," I hug her.
"No worries!" She releases herself from the hug. "It's nice to be with each other after a while. Just like old times," she smiles. "Let's choose our menu for dinner!" She grabs my hand and we walk to the living room.
Lynn is sitting on the sofa while looking at her phone. Probably texting her boyfriend, Andrew.
"He asks you to come home soon?" I sit beside Lynn, and Lily is sitting on the other side.
