It took a lot of strength for Lucinda to open her eyes. She lifted her hand to look at it, the petal of a black rose sat in her palm. She huffed. -Ya owe me another whip..- She thought, letting her hand drop from her vision. "Lucinda?" A voice called her name. She only looked up at the owner, her eyes scanning him. -You're one of Kat's lackeys, ain't ya- she thought. "I prefer the term friend, but yes." He responded. -So, ya can read my thoughts, can ya?- "Yes. I can. Figured it was better you don't talk, considering your crushed windpipe." He said, scanning her. -My crushed what now?- "Windpipe. That's why you can't breath. Surely you know how anatomy works." He raised an eyebrow. -I am a succubus.- "Point taken. How are you feeling? Besides the neck pain." He asked. -Aight, I guess. I'm sore.- "Of course you are, you just got into a fight with our boss. Shits gotta hurt." He said, shrugging. "I'm surprised you lived." Lucinda didn't respond, she reached up and rubbed her throat, cringing. She opened her mouth to speak, broken, and pained words was all she could manage, until half way through, when she was more or less completely healed. "Ah. That's better." She muttered, then she stood up.
"So, you healed yourself, I was hopping you wouldn't." "What's your name?" "Lucas." "Well, Lucas, How about ya shut up?" She asked, stalking out of the room. "ANASTASIYA!!!" She called, storming into her office. Anastasiya looked up from whatever she was doing. 'Ya deliberately tried ta kill me!" She hissed. "Mm.. So you survived." Was all Anastasiya said. "No thanks ta you!" Lucinda growled. Eliza was standing beside Anastasiya's chair, leaning on it, looking sickly. Lucinda turned her attention to the weak demon. "Fightin Kat took a toll on ya." She smirked. "The man's got himself a good sword arm.. and a cause..." She whispered. Anastasiya reached up, setting a hand on Eliza's. "You're going to be fine." She said, before turning her attention to the succubus. "I tried to kill you, because if I send you out to kill Katsumi, you won't." She said. "It was Eliza that urged me to spare you." Eliza barely nodded her head. She'd only just woken up herself. Every movement sent shockwaves of pain through her body. It'd take a while for her to heal, but as Anastasiya had said, she'd be okay. "At this point.." She started, speaking slowly. "You're a s.. We're using you to track Katsumi." She finally managed to say. "Save your strength. Stop talking." Anastasiya urged. "Please." Eliza nodded, and quieted, swaying on her feet. Lucinda snorted. "Oh yeah?" She questioned. "If you're so keen on killin im, why dont ya do it yourself?" She asked, then stormed out of the room.
