-meanwhile With Katsumi And Makoto-

Katsumi sat cross-legged on the couch, his chin in his hand. "I didn't know you could cook." He said. "There's a lot of things you don't know, Katsu." Makoto called from the kitchen. "Like what?" Katsumi asked, raising an eyebrow. "I make the BEST sushi, you'll figure that out soon. Right now, you'll just have to deal with these cookies." Makoto responded. Katsumi laughed softly, shaking his head. He had never been one for human food, but one that he enjoyed was sushi. "Alright, I'll hold you to that." Katsumi said. He lifted his head from his hand and looked down into his lap. "Purple or Green?" He asked. "I doubt you're asking my opinion, and asking the voice in your head instead, but news flash, I'm your new conscious. Green." Makoto cut into his thoughts. "I have fifteen greens, Makoto. Which one?" Katsumi questioned, looking to the pile of green fabric to his left. "Pick your two favorites and bring them here." Makoto suggested. "Yeah, that's helpful." Katsumi grumbled, but grabbed two shades and got up, walking into the kitchen.

He hopped up onto the counter, and watched Makoto for a moment, whom was digging through the fridge. He looked up at Katsumi, and stepped away from the fridge. "You're making me choose between Olive and Neon? Those are my favorites." Makoto said, placing his hands on his hips. "Mine too, but I'm thinking neon. Wouldn't that clash with your eyes though?" Katsumi asked, tilting his head at the fabric. "I've been told neon suits me." Makoto said, moving to the oven and opening it. "Olive clashes with my eyes." He said, grabbing an oven mitt. "That makes sense." Katsumi said, hopping off the counter, and grabbing a cookie off the tray Makoto had pulled from the oven. "What would I do without you?" He asked, taking a bite of the cookie. Again, he had never been one for human food, but damn, Makoto made good cookies. He had never been one for humans either, but Makoto was one of the two good ones he had met. The other one, well Katsumi didn't talk about her, and never would.

Makoto's answer tore Katsumi from his thoughts. "Well, you would be stuck between the choice of green or purple, and you wouldn't have a cookie right now." He said, setting the cookies on the table. "Both seem like," Katsumi paused, looking for the right word. "Unpleasant circumstances." Makoto laughed and leaned on the counter next to Katsumi. "Why does it matter if the fabric clashes with my eyes?" Makoto asked. "Reasons-" Katsumi responded, fishing the cookie. "Reasons which are?" Makoto pressed, a hand on either side of Katsumi, trapping him against the counter. Katsumi glanced away. "Mine." He mumbled. One would of thought he had been uncomfortable, it was quite the contrary actually.

"Touche. Well, tell me your reasons." Makoto said. "No." Katsumi said, crossing his arms. "Why?" Makoto whined. "Because I don't want to." Katsumi said. "Liar." Makoto said. "Okay, you caught me, but I'm not going to tell you, because it's a surprise." Katsumi said. Makoto let out a sigh. "I'll take that." Makoto said, shrugging. It fell silent, not one of those akward silences, a comfortable one.

Katsumi became lost in thought once again, the close proximity between them, how there was little space inbetween their bodies, and how maybe, just maybe he was a little to fond of this human.

Makoto looked down at Katsumi, unaware of his thoughts, or the danger he was in just by being in the same room with him. If Makoto was to be honest, he had thought he'd be deeper into his virtual bubble at this point, but spending time with Katsumi had all but popped that bubble. "Hey, Katsu?" Katsumi jumped, and looked up at Makoto, and the way he looked up at him, with his head tilted to the side, made Makoto smile. "Yea-" Katsumi's response was cut off by the door being knocked on frantically.

Katsumi and Makoto glanced at eachother, both confused. "I'll get it." Katsumi stated. Makoto pulled away, freeing Katsumi from the trap that was his arms. Katsumi quickly left the room. He opened the door, jumping at the sight of a frantic Lucinda. "Thank goodness, I'm not to late." She let out a sigh of relief, wrapping her arms around Katsumi's neck in a relieved hug. Makoto popped his head out of the kitchen, raising an eyebrow. Lucinda pulled away and sat her hands on his shoulders. "We need to talk, as fast as possible." She said. "About what, Lucinda, what happened?" Katsumi asked. "What 'appened doesn matter. What's goin' to 'appen matters." She said. "I'd prefer we didn' have an audience, when I tell ya." Lucinda said, then turned to Makoto. "No offense, please don' take offense to that." She said. Makoto shook his head, giving her a kind smile. "No, don't worry about, none taken, Williams. I have more cookies to make anyway." Makoto said, then went back into the kitchen.

Lucinda took a deep breath. "Katsumi. If you keep treatin that human as an equal, or dare I say it, fall in love with 'im. You'll become a liability. Eliza and Anastasiya are already suspicious." Lucinda said. "Like I'm going to fall in love with a human, you know how unlikely that is, and so what if he lives with me?" Katsumi asked. "'Ave you even been listenin to our plans? We destroy the human race, Katsumi. He's a human." Lucinda said. "Of course I've been listening, and I know that. I.." He trailed off. Lucinda's eyes widened. "Damnit! You've grown attached. To protect 'im, you'd have to rat us out!" She bit her lip. "That or kill us." She looked at him, into his eyes. "Katsumi, if Eliza and Anastasiya find out that your attached to 'im. You're days are numbered. I've worked with em for a long time. They only care about power, and occasionally each other. They won hesitate to kill you both." Lucinda said. "I know, Lucinda. I know, but I can take care of myself." Katsumi told her. "I trust you, but I need you to do something." Lucinda said. "What?" Katsumi asked. "When you take us down, go easy on me, okay?" She asked, because she knew love like the back of her hand, and if Katsumi and Makoto weren't in it, then she had learned nothing from being a succubus, and she had only been in the room with the both of them for a few moments. "Trust me, Lucinda. Nothing's going to happen, and I won't fall in love with a human." Katsumi said. "If you say so.. I have to get back, before they miss me. If somethin appens, tell me." And with that, Lucinda left.

"What was that about?" Maktoto asked from the doorway. Katsumi looked at Makoto, looking him in the eyes. "Nothing. Nothing at all." Katsumi said, and Makoto knew he was lying.
