sans's POV
i heard footsteps coming through the forest from the direction of that door leading to the ruins. i warped to the top of a tree and found a sturdy branch to sit on. i was surprised when a small human stepped out the door. i had no idea what i was expecting, but it wasn't this. they had (h\c) hair and big (e\c) eyes. they had a pencil behind their ear and a backpack that had (f\c) stars on it. they looked cold and their jeans had holes in them. they looked scrawny, like they hadn't eaten in a while. i almost felt sorry for the shrimp.
"time for me to have some fun." i said to myself, warping in a red flash behind the kid.
they didn't seem to notice and kept walking. i passed some trees and they heard me. i teleported away just as they looked back. their eyes widened in fear and they walked faster. as they walked past a branch i broke it. they heard but didn't look back. they were almost running now. i strolled along, not bothering to go any faster. they wouldn't be able to get past the gate anyway. they stopped in front of the gate and thought about what to do. i stepped forward.
sorry for the short chapter, but i have to go to school now. i'll write more around 4 o clock. the good news is i have the next chapter already written in the notes app on my phone. see ya!
