Natalie sat down in front of the princess painted, wooden bookcase that held all of every single Disney movie she owned, threw open the doors, and searched through the princess section. It was a birthday present her father gave her when she was six after he found her movies carelessly scattered on her bedroom floor. On the floor beside her sat her phone, vibrating endlessly from her best friends' group messages announcing they were almost there.
"Pocahontas? No. Frozen? Definitely not. Mulan? Umm.." She muttered, scanning the top shelf. As she reached to grab Mulan another movie caught her eye. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Natalie grabbed the movie and her phone and stood up, shutting the wooden doors with her foot. The doorbell rang causing Natalie to jump. Taking the stairs two at a time, her shoulder length, curly, black hair flying behind her, she made the door in record time. Skidding to a stop at the door, she took a second to regain her breath before throwing open the door to reveal her favorite people. A smile played on her lips and she giggled. "Hi!"
Cristen is tall with shoulder length blonde hair and blue eyes that showed her wisdom that was way beyond her years. Her smile often made people stop and her kindness made her a popular favorite wherever they went Sadie is the tallest of all the friends with long, curly blonde hair a shade darker than Cristen's and grey eyes that seemed to stare into your soul. There wasn't anything you could hide when she looked at you. People often called her stuck up and rude, but she was just raised to be honest. Jade is of medium heigh with long, black hair, skin like coffee with mixed in milk, and intelligent, chocolate brown eyes. She was beautiful and didn't like being forced into things. She is the only child of a wealthy businessman, but never let it get to her head. Lastly is the youngest, Violet. Violet is short with strawberry blonde hair that reaches to the middle of her back and curious green eyes. Her naive personality made you want to protect her, but she never let anyone do that. Independent and strong, Violet often stood up for what she believed in, dragging the other girls along and getting them in trouble.
The four girls rushed in, each carrying a different colored backpack and tackled Natalie with a hug. From the enthusiastic hello you would have never guessed they had just seen each other a few days ago. They fell onto the floor in a giggling heap, breathless. Once they got our breath back, they moved in the living room and sat in a circle, putting the movies they brought in the middle.
"Who's movie should we watch first?" Natalie asked.
Violet bit the skin on her lip, tearing at it out of habit and looked at the pile of movies, "We haven't watched Snow White before. Why don't we watch that one?"
The other girls agreed. Jade gathered the movies and we raced to the living room jumping onto the couch as she put in the movie. The five friends settled down on the couch and snuggled up under a pile of blankets as the opening titles began to play.
