The cool afternoon air made my brunette hair flow, though it was on a ponytai. I am currently heading towards Achilles' homestead because I wanted to help the assassins on taking out the red coats. I was lucky enough to have father agree to it knowing that I can make my own decisions. Seeing the familiar home of my mother's old friend, I quickened the pace of my horse to get there.
As I reached the stables, I let my horse stay there for the meantime and left to look for Achilles. I was about to walk to the homestead's backyard until someone called my name. I turned to see Adéwalé.
"My, my, if it isn't my favorite templar-assassin, haha. Hello dear Abigail, how's my goddaughter?" He greeted.
"I'm very fine, Uncle Adéwalé. It's been quite long." I said with a smile and we walked together to where Achilles was. We found him sitting on a small stool while reading a book while another assassin was cutting wood for fire. Liam went to us and greeted Adéwalé and I.
"Hello 'little sister'." Liam greeted. "Same to you, 'big brother'." Then we laughed it off as I hit his arm lighlty.
"It has been a long time." Achilles said as he stood up and gave Adéwalé a brotherly hug. "Achilles."
Then Achilles noticed me beside Liam.
"And if it isn't Abigail. How are you child? And also, thank you for accepting our request of help." He said.
"You're very welcome and I'm doing fine." I said with a slight nod. I went back to Liam to catch up on a few stuffs we've missed and I may be eavesdropping on Achilles and Uncle Adéwalé.
"Adéwalé! How go things in the West Indies?" Achilles said and both of their hands on each other's shoulder. Adéwalé's face became slightly worrying.
"Very poorly, I'm afraid." He replied.
"Your countenance tells me we should discuss this. Come." He said as he leads Adéwalé to talk somewhere in private about a certain situation. I just hope my curiosity doesn't get too much of me so I just stayed beside Liam.
The assassin stopped what he was doing and placed the axe on his shoulder as he approached us.
"Who's our visitor?" He asked Liam. Though I think his Irish accent is quite familiar. "That's Adéwalé. He was a slave who freed himself and hundreds of his brothers in the West Indies." Liam answered. "That man's a living incarnation of the Creed." He added.
"I see..." was all the assassin would say. "You join me for some practice." Liam said before he left off to go to the others. "Soon. I've got other business first." The guy replied.
"What kind of business?" I suddenly asked while looking at him. He placed his axe on the ground and faced me. I knew it! He was the kid from before, the eyes were so familiar.
"And who you might be, lady? I heard you're that templar-assassin the others were talking about." He said. I gave him a small smile.
"I believe you know me. We met 11 years ago near the bookstore down at Boston." I said with my hands are crossed. He had this confused face then moments later he realized who I was.
"You're not Abigail, are you?" He asked while pointing a finger at me.
"You got it, Shay." I said and went off to meet Liam and the rest. I got to where the others were and I was greeted by Hope and Kesegowaase.
"Long time no see, Abby." Hope greeted and we gave each other a hug. I giggle shortly and said, "Very. I haven't seen you since we met in New York. You too Kesegowaase, it's been quite a while since I visited your village." I said.
