Dani's POV
My whole life I've been told I was irresistible.I was the shining personality in the crowd.
The diamond in the rough
I was who everyone was drawn to.
That was until one girl changed that.
Love, Dani.
"Dani! Time for school!" My loving older sister yells making me roll my eyes before yelling back.
"Be down in five!" Saying as that I haven't gotten ready at all.
I go through my closet thinking about what to wear.
I really should have done this last night.
I finally end up with a classic of an outfit, black jeans and a white shirt.
I look good in everything but the moment my outfit comes together is precious.
"Dani!" My sister yells again and I check the time.
"One more minute!" I yell quickly putting mascara and eyeliner on happy that I have no major zits to cover up today.
"Danielle Nicole!" I rush down the stairs holding my boots in my hand as I approach my older sister.
"Here!" She rolls her eyes but smiles at me nonetheless.
The car ride involves ear splitting music because I don't feel like making conversation as I put my boots on in the passenger seat.
"Dani I don't want your bootprints on my car." Katherine chastises me and I finish taking my long legs off of the dashboard.
"Thank you." I laugh at her bitterness. Katherine is not one to hold grudges neither is Amy, my other sister, who is already at school for some club meeting.
"Thank you!" I make sure to tell Katherine for driving me before I hop out.
"Danielle looking fine today." I see a group of boys staring at me hungrily and I shudder at the thought.
I look over, "It's not our fault you rock that outfit." One of them shrugs and I walk to my locker.
"Come on just go on one date with me." Brent is getting weak now begging with me.
I close my locker exposing his face, "My answer isn't going to change. A firm no." I answer a slight smile on my face as he pouts.
I then see my sister gabbing away to the person who ignored my presence yesterday.
"Hi I'm Dani." I slide next to my supposed to be partner who I don't know the name of.
She looks at me with brown eyes that could melt my soul before looking back down at her paper.
At first I thought she was flustered and maybe had some sort of crush on me but there were no signs indicating it.
"We're supposed to be working together." I point out and she rips a piece of paper in half giving it to me.
I see that it is the instruction sheet but don't I need the other half to work on it too?
I am determined to at least get the name of this person.
"Hi Amy! How was your meeting?" Her blue eyes widen exponentially before answering.
She is still her bubbly self though, "Good!" I know now Amy won't stop because I opened a can of worms. "We had a really riveting debate on how to prevent fires." I know I look uninterested but a debate on fires?
Seriously?
"Lauren dug herself into a hole by saying fires were good." Amy turns to the previously unnamed girl next to her.
"I didn't say they were good I said that the fire was not that bad." Lauren argues her voice being soft and sweet unlike her standoffish behavior earlier.
"50 people died!" Amy steps closer to the taller girl who lightly puts her hands on Amy's shoulders.
"Look up the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire then the forest fire in Peshtigo Wisconsin." Amy walks away not admitting being wrong.
"Wow my sister rarely shuts up." I tell Lauren but as I turn it seems I am only talking to myself.
"Where'd you go?" I ask as Lauren reappears.
She cocks her head at me but soon shakes it.
She walks past and I grab her wrist.
She snakes out of it easily though leaving me in her dust.
Why doesn't this girl like me?
