Lauren's POV
A light is shone in my eyes making me wake up and I see a panicked Dani.

"Look at time!" My eyes adjust to the phone screen saying two AM, two hours past curfew.

"Frick." I mutter underneath my breath. "My sisters are going to kill me." I think of Lisa and Christina's reactions the moment I step into the house.

Dani motions for me to go quicker I think more nervous than me.

"You know the cheery side of Amy, not the menacing one." Dani explains her actions helping me throw the blankets into the back seat of the car.

Dani's POV
I put my keys in the ignition and the engine won't turn over.

My hands shake as I keep trying.

I should have paid more attention when my dad tried to teach me to repair cars.

I get out not seeing anything wrong even after I open the hood.

I can't call anyone because we are currently out illegally but we cannot walk home.

"Any way one of your sisters would wake up and come out here?" I know my two older sisters would be knocked out even if they had been up worrying.

Lauren looks at me nodding, "Be prepared for two things. Possibly both of them and being chastised the entire ride home." I simply nod as Lauren takes out her phone.

Lauren's POV
"Lauren finally! Where the heck are you!" Christina screams in my ear.

I wince at the loud noise, "Drive in movie. The car died. Can you please pick Dani and I up?" I try to sound as sweet as possible.

"Of course." She answers the words biting like she wants to add something. "Be there in thirty." She answers and before I can tell her to not bring Lisa she hangs up.

Dani's POV
"Christina's coming in thirty minutes." Lauren tells me as she puts her phone back into her pocket.

At least we have a ride, "Anything I need to know about Christina?" I ask not wanting to be destroyed.

Lauren thinks for a moment, "She is very blunt and might say some means things. She'll be tired and cranky. She will probably gives us a speech about being more careful. And she'll drill you with questions just answer them truthfully." She finishes and that's a lot to remember.

I count what I got out of it on my fingers, "Don't lie, don't feel hurt, and don't interrupt her rant." Lauren nods and I smile back at her.
