*Jinyoung's POV*
Mark looked around and a weird expression passed on his face as he recognised Jinyoung from across the room. What was it? Happiness? Relief? Or was that just boredom?
Jinyoung signaled him and Mark sat beside him on the counter.Mark ordered drinks for each of them and they sat in silence, slowly enjoying the the tang of the beer. Jinyoung knew he had to be the one to break the ice first.
''So... How's life? What have you been doing?''Jinyoung asked.
''Me? Well, i recently just completed my solo cross country flight.'' Mark replied.
''Ah, Really?! Wow, good for you. JB hyung also completed his. I'm still stuck co-piloting. This year maybe i'll be able to take my test." Jinyoung exclaimed.
Mark hummed in response and sat there taking a sip out of his drink. Jinyoung had nothing else to say either after that so they both sat there in awkward silence.
"So... what else is new?" Jinyoung asked, "Have you gotten anyone special in life yet?, any girlfriend?"
"Me? Well, I guess not. But I do have someone in mind." Mark replied looking at Jinyoung.
Jinyoung shifted uncomfortably, Mark's gaze was so intense that he didn't know where to look.
When suddenly a girl came up to Mark and leaned on the counter.
"Hey, I just noticed you and seems like you're not a regular here, are you? Cuz if you were then I would've noticed you a lot earlier. What do you say?".
She said. The girl flirted with Mark, giggling and twisting her hair back at her ear.
"No, it's actually my first time here, I was just catching up with an old acquaintance of mine here." Mark smiled and gestured towards me.
I waved awkwardly and she returned the wave.
"I'm Sky and you're?"
"Mark and this is Jinyoung."
"So Mark...Are you just acquaintances or more than that?" Sky wiggled her eyebrows, suggesting something else.
Mark laughed and said.
"No, just acquaintances. And besides....", he leaned towards her ear and whispered, " if I did swung that way then he isn't really my type."
Mark said that while looking at Jinyoung from the corner of his eye.
Jinyoung pretended to ignore them and faced the other way and drank more of the drink. But he heard everything.
Scoff. What? Not his type? Huh? Well neither is he. Not that I'm interested.
Jinyoung didn't even know why his remark made his insides boil, So he just blindly grabbed his drink and downed it wholly.
Mark and Sky kept talking and giggling. Mark completely ignoring Jinyoung. Jinyoung quietly observed discreetly.
After some time, Jinyoung was completely wasted. Mark softly chuckled to himself. Jinyoung always had low tolerance for alcohol. Jinyoung mumbled something incoherent. So Mark put his ear next to Jinyoung's mouth and was amused to hear.
"You're not my typeeee either~~~. But you didn't have to say it like that, hyunnnnngggg~~"
"Okay, I'm gonna have to leave, my friend here is quite wasted." Mark told Sky smilingly.
"Ahh, okay. So when can we meet again then?" Sky asked hopefully and flirtatiously.
Mark laughed and said, "Sorry sweetheart, you just aren't for me."
Mark stood and balanced Jinyoung out of the pub. Hailing a cab, he took Jinyoung to the place he only knew.
His home.
