*Jinyoung's POV*

"Why are you here?!" Jinyoung asked furiously.

"Why do you think I'm here?" Mark mused.

"Don't mess with me." Jinyoung growled.

"Okay okay," Mark surrendered, "I'm your instructor."

"Wh-? How's that possible?" Jinyoung asked.

"I passed mine two years ago and I'm kind of your senior now." Mark smirked.

"Ughh, fine." Jinyoung gave up and turned to his panel.

Jinyoung started the jet and prepared for take off. He contacted the control tower and got the confirmation. Mark quietly observed all this and gave his confirmation to the control tower as an instructor.

Jinyoung expertly guided the jet towards the blue sky and soon they were flying among the birds. Jinyoung relaxed and let the jet glide through smoothly.

Mark leaned back and stayed quiet for sometime. But since someone had to break the ice. Much to Jinyoung's surprise Mark was the first one to speak.

"Did I do anything wrong?" Mark asked.

"What?" Jinyoung said.

"You're upset at me aren't you? I just don't remember doing anything to make you mad at me." Mark explained.

"What do you mean? You don't remember anything from the last reunion?" Jinyoung asked astonishedly.

"Well, not really. My memories, after I got drunk and wasted, are really hazy and I have a hard time putting things together. Did I do anything to offend you?" Mark said sheepishly.

Jinyoung scoffed.

Oh really, well this is new. Hmph. After that assault, I ought to just punch him in the face. But since he doesn't remember I'll just ignore it too. Good for me.

"No, not really. We're good. I'm not mad. It's just that we aren't the close to begin with so you know, I don't have much to say to you." Jinyoung said awkwardly.

"Oh." Mark said.

Then he remained quiet for sometime. They both rode in silence just the roar of the engine from the outside.

"Well, it's not like I don't want us not to be close. I've always wanted to talk to you like friends." Mark scratched the back of his head and smiled slightly.

"But you've never talked to me much when we were in college. I was the one trying to get close. You just pushed me away always." Jinyoung defended.

"I-I'm not- I don't say much you know. You can say I'm an awkward person. I can't express properly. But I don't hate you." Mark said.

Yeah, I know. He said that when he was drunk. So he likes me as friend! That's a relief. He doesn't hate me after all. But then what was that kiss about? And why did I respond in such a way?! Ughh. Forget it. We both were drunk that's the only reason I know!

"I don't hate you either. So let's start anew. I'm your friend Jinyoung, nice to meet you." Jinyoung said and put his hand out to shake.

Mark hesitated but then shook his hand and smiled.

"I'm Mark, nice to meet you."

They both looked at each other and started laughing. When they stopped laughing, but kept on gazing at each other.

Jinyoung noticed Mark was still holding his hand. He quickly pulled it away. His face was burning.

What's this feeling?

He cleared his throat and continued to steer the jet. The jet soared higher into the cotton strewn sky. They both looked ahead at the breathtaking scene. When suddenly Jinyoung noticed something. Then he gasped.

"Hey. Mark! Look ahead!" Jinyoung shouted.

"Oh boy..." Mark said.

Then Mark quickly contacted the control tower to report in their situation.

"This is Jet 0998. We have a slight problem, there seems to be a hurricane ahead. Please route out a save exit. Over."

The control tower told them that this hurricane was not foreseen and that there wasn't any way around except through it.

"Why can't things be easier when it comes to me." Jinyoung gritted as he tried to handle the steering.

The jet had started to shake violently as they entered the hurricane field. Jinyoung and Mark both handled it steadily until they heard a loud thwack. When Mark went to check it seemed that a bird had just hit the engine and that the engine was on fire now.

"We're losing altitude!" Mark yelled.

"This is jet 0998, our engine is down and we're losing altitude!" Jinyoung yelled over the radio.

Then they lost communication too.

Mark came over and buckled his seat belt then looked at Jinyoung who was battling the storm. He was sweating profusely. Mark took a deep breath and closed his eyes. He opened them and they were already slanting downwards, ready to crash.

Mark covered Jinyoung's hand in his. Jinyoung looked at him confused. Mark looked helpless.

"Jinyoung, I want to say something to you." Mark said.

"How's not the time. We have to make it through somehow." Jinyoung said.

"No, it's important and besides I don't think we have much time." Mark said.

"What are you saying? Are you giving up?!" Jinyoung yelled frustratedly.

"It's hopeless now. Look." Mark pointed ahead.

Jinyoung gulped as he looked and then turned quiet.

"What is it? Mark?" Jinyoung asked defeatedly.

"Jinyoung, I've always wanted to tell you that I——

Then everything went black as they crashed.
