*Jinyoung's POV*
Jinyoung awoke beside Mark, the sound of the soft waves crashing on the shore. He smiled as he stared at his loved one.
Do I really love him? These feelings are new to me.
Mark stirred in his sleep then he opened his eyes to find Jinyoung staring at him. Jinyoung quickly turned to the other side, embarrassed that he was caught staring. Mark smirked and draped his arms on Jinyoung's waist. And Jinyoung gasped as he felt Mark's lips graze his ear. Jinyoung wiggled his way out and got up.
"Come, let's get to work." Jinyoung said.
"What?" Mark asked.
"We have to get off this island. Don't we?" Jinyoung challenged.
"Fine." Mark grumbled and got up and followed Jinyoung.
They gathered some firewood and built an SOS for the rescuers to see. Then they waited and waited. The sun rose and fell and soon it was night fall again. They had given up hope. They both sat by the bonfire, leaning against each other.
Mark had his head on Jinyoung's shoulder. They both sighed.
"Are we going to die like this?" Mark asked.
"Don't say this, hyung! It's not too late yet." Jinyoung convinced him.
"Well, I don't mind dying if it's next to you." Mark said, smiling.
A tear slipped by Jinyoung's eye but he didn't even notice. It was this moment he realised that he loved Mark too. Always had. He just never knew.
"Mark, I need to tell you something." Jinyoung said.
Mark turned towards Jinyoung, surprised to find him crying. He took Jinyoung's face in his hands.
"What is it? Don't cry. We'll get through it soon." Mark consoled Jinyoung.
Jinyoung shook his head.
"It's not that.I-I love you Mark Tuan." Jinyoung confessed.
Mark stared at Jinyoung, he couldn't believe his ears.
"What are you looking at?" Jinyoung sobbed. "Say something, I just told you I love you and we're going to die."
Mark smiled and kissed Jinyoung softly on the lips.
"Finally you said it. I love you too, Park Jinyoung." Mark said.
Jinyoung stopped crying and smiled through his tears. He flung himself at Mark and hugged him hard.
They lay on the sand, Jinyoung's head being supported by Mark's arm. And gazed at the starlight above them. Soon, they fell asleep.
Jinyoung awoke the next morning not with the sound of the waves crashing but by the noisy buzz of a faint chopper.
Ughh, it's so noisy. I hate the noise of helicopters. Wait. What? Helicopters?!
Jinyoung jolted up, waking up Mark in the process. Jinyoung jumped up and starting running towards the shore, screaming and jumping and waving his arms in the air like a maniac, in order to catch the attention of the rescue helicopter.
Mark joined too and soon the helicopter saw their signal and landed. They were immediately flown back and taken to the hospital.
As they were flying back, Mark and Jinyoung both looked back at that fatal island where they spent the most beautiful yet terrifying two nights of their life. And smiled at each other. They indeed were never to forget those two nights. Ever.
