In darkness of the gloomy shadow he lay, shivering, his once sprouted wings strewn about him, covered in blood and blackened soil.
His lean pale arms were uneasily resting against the ground, his spine burning with ache, and agony lingering on his somber face.

Something cold and hardened seeped into her hurting heart as she saw bloody scars on his face and what was left of his wings, bits and pieces of them on his bruised back.
It looked shallowed, carved and blood sprayed out of his cuts together with his fiery life.
Bitter tears prickled against her eyes and her heart began to thud at the speed of light.
She seemed to had lost her voice as her knees wobbled and fell on the ground like burning trees.

Everything seemed to be moving fast, yet too slow for her to acknowledge what had happened.
