"Hyung," Jungkook barged into Jin's room sighing and throwing himself onto his bed. "She's getting on my nerves again!""Wow I just come home form college and the first thing you do is complain about your eomma. Not even a simple "hello Hyung," or a "how's everything." You're just so great with people, Kookie." Jin's words were dripping with sarcasm as he closed his text book.
"Oh, uh hey. Now what the hell do I do about that woman," the younger bot ranted.
"Your mom," Jin corrected.
"Whatever," Jungkook rolled his eyes.
"What did she do?"Jungkook at up and looked at Jin preparing himself to tell a very long pointless story. Perhaps one he could say in only one sentence. He would basically dramatize his parents telling him to clean the house and study.
"You're just saying that you're a bad son, Jungkook." Jin laughed as he put his books away.
"You don't understand Mr. Perfect, Kim Soekjin. You are like best friends with Mr and Mrs. Kim. You never have anything to worry about." Jungkook said with hint of jealousy in his voice.
"Yeah, yeah whatever you say. You are just disrespectful, Jeon Jungkook! This is why I mentor your rude ass."
"Blah, blah, blah," the younger rolled his eyes and looked through his phone.
What Jungkook said was mostly true, Jin did have a really great parent son relationship. He was extremely important to them, his happiness could cure them of disease. Jin's life is seemingly amazing in every area of it.
Jin was popular, not just in the way most people would think. He could make friends with any and everyone. Older ladies love him because he was respectful and kind. Fathers love him because he is respectful and kind. Girls love him because he is respectful, kind, and on top of that very handsom.
In high school Jin had many friends and was invited too many social events. Although some of his male class mates would say they hated him, they never did. None of them had a reason to hate him. A small amount wouldn't even know why they didn't like him, others jealous nonetheless, the would still jump at an opportunity to hang out with Jin.
Jin's love life was dormant for almost all of high school, the boys hated that fact too. It was surprising, almost every girl would not so subtly throw herself at Jin. It happened so often that it was nearly imposssible for him to not notice, but that's exactly what seemed to happen. He didn't notice, or maybe didn't care, all but once.
A girl that was hard to just pass by without noticing. She had the most awful and thick American accent. The girl was half Korean and moved to Korea and attended Jin's high school during the second year. She was pretty but quite stubborn and refuse to use her Korean name, so everyone called her Jessica.
As everyone did, Jessica became friends with Jin. They went out with each other so often that they were best friends. Jin really enjoyed her company, Jessica thought the same way. However, Jessica really enjoyed Jin's company and developed a crush.
By the end of the last year of high school Jessica confessed to Jin. She even asked him on a date, Jin had no reason to say no to it. That was the start of their relationship. The two even go to the same University, and dated all their first year and now onto the second.
•••
There was a knock on Jin's bed room door, Jungkook thought it was Mrs. Kim so he sat up and tried to look respectful. This act made Jin laugh, he opened the door to his surprise it was Jessica.
"Oh, hey," Jin smiled and hugged the shorter girl. Jungkook looked over to the door and perked up seeing Jin's girlfriend. He smirked a bit mysteriously. "Hi noona," he waved to her.
"Hello Jungkookie, how is school?" Jessica smiled kindly walking into the room and sat on Jin's desk.
"It's fine," Jungkook lied.
"He's failing," Jin said sitting back at his desk collecting the pens on it and putting them away. "So his parents are making him study and clean the house, isn't that something." Jungkook shot a look at the laughing Jin."I should get going I don't want to third wheel," Jungkook said fighting the smirk off of his face, but it was too late Jin already caught onto it.
"No you and I have to talk, you're staying over." Jungkook sighed and returned to his phone.
"So is Jaehyung home too?" Jin turned his focuse to his girlfriend.
"He is, actually he's waiting from me outside so I can't stay long." Jessica said reaching for Jin's hand.
"Is he and your parents doing well?"
"Yes, us Parks are doing just fine," Jessica chuckled. "Do you want to go speak with Jae?"
Jin shrugged "I will when I walk you to his car."•••
Perfect. Yes, one can say that when you look on the surface. Jin seemed to be very open because of how inviting you was. But there are things people don't share about themself, Jin was no different. He had secrets.
Yes he had secrets, multiple. He had secrets that or normal to have, he had once had a crush, that was normal. He lied about not having homework, also a normal secret. He feels that Jungkook isn't all that bad of a kid, he would never admit it though.
Jin also had other secrets, ones that he felt no one would relate to. Secrets that must always remain that way, hidden. He has one secret that carry the burden of one hundred.
Jin doesn't like the idea of secrets, he needs to get them out somehow. So he writes then down. He writes about Jungkook being important to him, how he sometimes secretly judges people.
Jin even has a secret that isn't a secret at all, it's just that no one believes it. He tells alot of people this but no one ever thinks it true, it's like they hide it from themselves. One of Jin's biggest secret is that he isn't perfect at all.
If I was so perfect I wouldn't have this secret, the heavy one that I carry on my shoulders. Jin thought this every single time someone called him 'Mr. Perfect'. I can never, ever open up. I would never be perfectly happy, have a perfect relationship, and a perfect life. Why does no one see that?
Jin even keeps the secret form the two people he loved the most, his parents. He thinks it's more so to protect them. He knows keeping it is lying to a lot of people. Keeping it is a very specific lie that would hurt his loved ones in a very specific way.
His life would be completely destroyed if his secrets would ever come out into the light. Well... You can say that one day it was very sunny.
