and i want to forget all the reasons i had to leave.

i want to get so drunk that i forget that i have to make sure i won't turn out like my mom.

i want to forget that when you find out what i did, you'll be disgusted to even be in my presence.

i want to forget that i'm not supposed to tell you why i needed to leave, and where i am.

and i really want to forget that i'm supposed to leave you alone and let you move on.

but i can't forget those things.

sometimes you need to leave the people you love most because they're better off without you.

this is one of those times.
