IRIS'S MIND WANDER, her thoughts drifting off into the oblivion. Her fingers strayed away on the white threads of her dress, taking note at the dirt underneath her fingernails. She scrunched up her nose in disgust, feeling the grimy dirt of filth covering her body from head to toe. She made a mental note to wash herself clean, as soon as possible.

The morning sunrise had risen, the previous night events had come to a close. Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew, were still untrusting on Carina's knowledge and whereabouts of the map. Whereas, Henry had his faith and trust all in the woman; Iris had her doubts about Carina's morals, but she would be stupid if she didn't believe that Carina was highly skilled and educated.

Iris had spent the last few hours of the morning sitting alone to her own demise. Her thoughts were focused on Henry and Carina-the amount they had in common, and the looks they both would throw at each other. Iris felt angry at herself for being jealous. She hated herself that she was envying Carina Smyth; feeling as if Carina was better than her. They were both strong, intelligent, independent woman. And Iris knew that, but her veins flowed with a strong sense of jealousy-she saw red clouding her eyes.

Henry sat by her, his eyes fixated on the brunette. Iris felt his glaze, her eyes stare down at the wooden planks. The Turner boy let a deep sigh escape his lips, causing Iris to finally stare up at him. "Are you okay, Iris?" Henry concernedly questioned.

"Do you fancy Carina Smyth?" Iris blurted out; almost like it was word vomit. She mentally wanted to cringe at herself for blurting out such a sudden thing. The look of confusion and a hint of amusement on Henry's face made Iris want to jump off the plank and drown into the ocean's dark abyss.

"In the way you're thinking, Iris. No, I don't fancy Carina," Henry replied, "But I do like her as a person, and consider her a friend, at the very most."

Iris nodded, a sense of relief flooding her body. "Are you jealous, Iris Monte?" Henry teased, a smirk tugging at his charming grin.

A shade of pink coated Iris's cheeks, as Henry's grin grew even wider. "Don't flutter yourself," Iris rolled her eyes in amusement.

"You love me," Henry chuckled, leaning a tad closer to the princess.

"I do, indeed, Henry," Iris dreamily spoke, bitting her lower lip. Henry's eyes immediately darted down to her teeth bitting onto her lower lip, feeling his face flush.

A commotion had gathered, as Jack and his crew surrounded Carina questioning her knowledge of the map. "So, she's saying she's got the map, but she's the only one who can follow it?" Gibbs asked in bewilderment. Iris and Henry had pushed their way through the crowd of pirates, standing beside Carina.
