----------------------------------" Woo Hoo" Julie and I shouted cheering on the team. Tyler had just scored a touch down. I couldn't help but look for Jake the game was halfway done and there was no sign of him.
"Julie I'm going to grab some snacks want some?" I asked her she nodded her head and continued cheering the boys on.
"I would like some Skittles and twix" I said to the snacks salesman. She nodded and hand me the snacks and just as I was about to pay. Someone handed her the money to pay for me.
"Have a nice day " I heard a familiar voice say.
"Jake, I'm so happy you're here" I said and then embraced him in a hug. He seemed taken aback but he hugged me back and handed me the snacks.
"Are you late to everything "I questioned him with a lifted eyebrow.
"Hey i wasn't late to Courts today" he said defensively.
"But then you didn't show up to any of your other classes" I replied while showing him where we're sitting. He laughed and took a bite of his Apple. I noticed just how sharp his jawline was in that ephemeral moment.
"Don't stare bubbles" Jake said as he sat down next to meet on the bleachers. Julie gave me a questioning look.
"Julie this is my friend Jake, Jake this is my best friend Julie" they both gave each other a nod. Awkward.
" Where did you get bubbles from Jake" I asked him while eating my Skittles.
"You have a bubbly personality so it made sense"he explained while smiling at me.
"it's cold" I said while rubbing the goose bumps on my arm. "Did you bring my jacket Jake"
"I might've accidentally left it at home here wear mine" he said while taking off his leather jacket and placing it on my shoulders. What a cliche moment.
I slid my arms into the sleeves. The jacket felt a little baggy and the sleeves exceeded my hands. Buy I'm not complaining this jacket smells just like him.
The game ended and of course we won. I congratulated the boys but especially Tyler. He worked his butt off. I introduced Tyler and Matt to Jake.
"Do you need a ride home" Jake asked me. I was already getting a ride home from Matt. But I'd rather ride with Jake. I nodded my head and told Matt. He gave me a knowing look and wiggled his eyebrows. I shook my head and rolled my eyes.
Jake's car smelled like weed. I couldn't help but notice.
"Sorry my friend had my car earlier" he explained with a apolegtic look.
"It's fine relax" I said with a soft smile. When we arrived at my house. We said our goodbyes. I walked up to my room. My mother walked pass me and she scrunched her nose and stopped me.
"Is that marijuana" she said with an angry tone. I stuttered unable to explain myself. I never get in trouble.
"Harry!" She yelled my father's name. He came quickly.
"Your daughter has been smoking weed" she accused.
"No it wasn't me "I said in a scared voice. My parents yelled for me to go to my room. I quickly ran up the stairs with tears steaming down my face. For the first time I felt hatred.
I took the jacket off and threw it across the room. I hate Jake right now. This is not normal for me. I shouldn't be in trouble. I shouldn't be crying. I shouldn't be angry. I didn't pray or wash my face that night. For the first time I went to sleep angry with tears running down my face.
