So... my eyes were a different color then... blue, wasn't it?

. . .

"Do you think it's possible, then..." her golden brown eyes met Nova's light blue ones. She asked the question, "could... could Storm still be...?" Alive? Truth be told, she wasn't sure she wanted to know the answer.

It was late, everyone had gotten something to eat including Nashi and excluding Nova, who didn't feel like dinner that night.

Not wanting to share the details of her mini mission, Nova exhaled, rustling in her sleeping bag, "I don't know. I just... I hope not."

Nashi rolled over, and instead of on her side, her eyes were facing up, towards the ceiling of the tent. "I can't stop thinking about it, Nova. I mean, you saw him, and I know it must've been the twins but... was there any signs at all that could've shown that... it could've..."

"Nashi, even if it was him, I don't think it's a good idea to... you know..." Nova was still in the same sleeping position, but she ended up tying her hair in a side braid, "we can't bring him back to the guild, it's just not that simple." They were both quietly speaking, Rosemary and Sylvia were also in the tent, except they were both quietly snoozing.

Still, the redheaded girl next to Nashi yawned, "you guys... it's the middle of the night," she whispered, not wanting to wake up the bluenette on her side of the tent.

"You're right, we should probably go to sleep," Nova suggested, but then said, "but I can't go to sleep. I'm still trying to process what I saw earlier."

"What happened there, anyway?" Rosemary asked, "I overheard Lucy and mom talking... but I couldn't exactly hear everything, something about... I don't know, Gray diving in the water?"

Nova was quiet for a moment, then said, "yeah... I'll tell you guys everything later, but for now let's just say that there was a bit of an argument."

"Is everything okay now?" Rosemary asked curiously.

"Hm," Nova nodded, "it was just another quarrel between Erza and Gray, but no one got hurt."

Suddenly, Nashi shot up from her sleeping bag, "we have to find him." She said it a bit loud, but Sylvia was still quiet, she was still asleep.

"Nashi-" Nova whisper yelled, "I told you, it's probably not him."

"Yeah, probably, but you can't rule that possibility out," Nashi said back, but a little quieter. "Maybe it was the twins, but I just need to confirm it," she silently hoped that Storm was alive.

Nova scratched her head all over, trying to think. Rosemary was beginning to get up when she said, "Nashi's right, Nova. We need to make sure that he didn't come back from the dead. Too many things make sense with him not dead, we just need to double check."

Nova noticed she said not dead instead of alive. He is dead, that much they know. The question they need to answer is whether or not he got reincarnated.

"Okay, fine, but we can't wake Sylvia up, okay?" The two other girls agreed with Nova by nodding their heads.

Bringing a lantern with them, one by one they all filed out of the tent. Once they were outside, they put on their shoes and coats and started trekking through the forest in their leggings, which were their pajamas.

Nova was ahead of them with the lantern in hand, her sleeve covering her hand from the cold. Rosemary was behind her, and Nashi was walking between them, like an awkward middle.

The redhead rubbed the sleeves of her parka, "it's freezing out here. Especially in the dark..."

Nashi shrugged, "it's colder than winter in Magnolia, yes, but it's not that bad overall."
