Chapter 2-Please Dont Leave Me

"Alright guys that was pretty good not our best rehearsal but it was not bad at all." Dr Teeth said nodding after they had played their final notes.

"Like sorry was prob me I had forgotten to uh tune my guitar rully" said Janice as she gathered her sheets and unplugged her pink Les Gibson guitar. Teeth watched her as Floyd went by as they nodded at each other as to be friendly. It was quite odd to see them just kind of brush past each other often the jam sessions or rehearsals ended with them kissing and complimenting each other but today they were acting very different,Janice especially. She was not her usual very positive bubbly self. All of rehearsal all that would come out of her mouth when she spoke were just one short sentence or word other then her singing. As the most of the band had left the music room to go and check in for the night Teeth thought maybe it would be a good time for him to check on their girl and make sure she was okay. As he was about to approach her after she placed her guitar on a stand,she went over to him and pursed her lips and spoke
"Oh wow like sorry about tonight and throwing everyone off groove I just like dunno what was with me.." Janice said sighing

"Hey now don't worry about it it's all good,it's all good.." Dr Teeth said as he patted her back in reassurance. "You seem very distant and far out of touch today ya been feeling okay Baby?" He said calling her by her pet name that the whole band called her.
It all started when Teeth called her that constantly when they dated and the rest of the members thought it was funny and said it to tease them and it stuck. Janice felt her face flush up a bit hearing him call her that again.
"Like I'm fine I promise just an off day is all you know how those can happen when you haven't been performing and rehearsing as often as you rully should" Janice said she felt her shoulders hands and legs start to shake slightly which Dr Teeth took note of. He took her by her arm and they sat down on the bench in front of his keyboard.
"Jan we've all known you for years. And I can tell when you are upset and hiding something deep within..you can tell me anything,Doll. I'm here for you.It's just a matter of knowing what that is that is causing you to act the way you have today." Teeth gave a smaller smile as he pulled her a bit closer,his long arm around her.
Janice knew he was right and she trusted him as she was going to open her mouth to tell him she began to quiver as her eyes watered.
"Baby? Whats wrong?" Teeth said softly holding her hand. As he asked this Janice just broke down into sobs her other hand covering her eyes struggling to make words. Teeth felt himself fill with sadness. He had never seen her cry this much since she and Floyd had a dispute during a gig.
"Oh hun come here" Teeth said as he pulled her even closer holding her as she wrapped her arms around his neck and cried on his shoulder. "Do something happen with you and Floyd before practice?" He asked as she nodded unable to talk and let out tearful babbles.

"It's okay it's okay" Teeth rubbed her hair and back. "You tell me when you are ready and can do so" He said

"J-just hold me.." Janice managed to say her jaw trembling clinging onto him burying her face deeper into his shoulder.

"Anything you need right now" Teeth said as he hugged her tightly rocking her in his arms to try and soothe her. Janice's crying turned into whimpers within a few minutes as Teeth consoled her.
"There you go that's a girl. Now what happened? Start from what you think caused the tension" Teeth said. Janice turned her head so she could look at him and said "it was like actually not long before the practice."

"Hmm okay go on Baby" Teeth encouraged her as he massaged her shoulder with his hand.

"So like I was riffling through my drawers looking for my guitar pick and ended up finding an old picture of when you and I had dated from on the beach in Malibu..Floyd walked in on me looking at it right before I was like gonna put it away and he got concerned and thinks I'd cheat on him and said maybe we-we should take a break and I dunno what that even means.." Janice sniffed leaning on Teeth's shoulder

Teeth felt himself start to grin wider then usual as he held her in his arms. "You still have that picture?"

"Mhmm course I do. I'm not gonna pretend like we weren't a thing rully. Plus you're still one of my best friends I'll always treasure that picture whether we are together or not." Janice exclaimed
"Awww you are such a sweetie" Teeth said "What all of us love about you Jan is that you are such a loving and caring person and I know you'd never ever cheat on Floyd. You love him with all your heart and soul the same way you did when we were main squeezes" He reached over to move a few strands of her stingy blonde hair out of her face as Janice managed to crack a smile through the tears in her eyes dewing her eyelashes.
"Oh wow like Thank you! You're so good to me." Janice said as she hugged him again a little more intimately. "Do you think Floyd is gonna leave me..?" she said worried squeezing his hand.

"Oh baby are you kidding? Floyd wouldn't do that at all for something ridiculous like that all I ever hear about you from him is how much he cares and loves you. Just give him time he'll figure out how dedicated you've been to him and if he doesn't realize that it's his loss. If your guys souls ever start beginning to untangle you let me know okay?. I promise Janice,everything is gonna be alright" Teeth said patting her back.
"Fer sure You just like know what to say to make me feel better." Janice said she pulled away slightly to look at him in the eyes and smile. Teeth started to feel his body grow weak as he took in the smell of floral perfume and coconut oil in her hair. He had forgotten how lovely she smelt,she also looked very beautiful today he noticed.
Janice broke the embrace and started to lean her face even close to kiss him on the cheek.
"Like you're a rully good friend" she said
"Awww cmon now darling" Teeth said blushing.

That was the night that would make them realize maybe they still loved each other more then they thought they did now.
