Falling Apart Ch.17

Previous:I️ paused in my tracks.  I️ took the letter out of my purse and compared the handwriting.

"Dear Kamryn and Saadiq,
               I know what you did last year. :)
And a dead rose fell from the envelop. The handwriting was really curvy and neat. Very unique."

I looked on the desk and notice a dozen dead roses on it. I counted 11. One was missing.

Kamryn P.O.V
I bagged out of the room very quickly. "No, No" I kept saying over and over again in my head. I balled the letter up and through it on his floor and ran out of his house without even locking the door. I got in my car and drove back home. Saadiq was gone. I locked the door and fell on the floor crying. "How did he know?" I asked myself. About 5 mins later my phone began to ring. I looked at the caller ID and it was Calvin. I let the phone ring and he left a message. "Hey baby I just pulled up and noticed your car isn't here." I heard him unlocking the door "Where are you, you sounded really worried over the phone." I heard him walk up the stairs "Call me b-" I️ heard him stop his sentence, then, dead silence as the phone hung up.

He called me again. I didn't answer. He called again, and again, and again. He sent text messages over and over and over again. He left messages on my voicemail again. "BABY I'M SO SORRY FOR EVERYTHING! PLEASE LET ME EXPLAIN."

I just stared at my phone in disbelief. I didn't know what to do or how to feel. I love Saadiq and Calvin, and i knew at this moment, I had just lost both of them. I crawled into bed and decided to call it a night. I took two sleeping pills and dozed off to sleep.

Calvin P.O.V
I feel so bad after what happened with Kamryn. I really love her to death and I never want to lose her. I know she killed Maria. I've always knew but I kept it to myself. I just wanted her to know that someone knew what she did so she could tell me everything what happened. I love her and I always tell her everything and I just wanted her to open up to me and be honest about everything that happened. God why did she have to find out like this. I thought to myself. I can't lose my baby like this. I have to go to her house.

I arrived to her front door and knocked. When I knocked, a light-skinned girl with freckles opened the door.

"Hey" I said, "Is Jasmine, I mean Kamryn here?"

"Yes, she's in the room sleep, do you want me to wake her up?" The girl replied.

I looked down and sighed. "No she really needs her rest, let her sleep" I replied. The girl chuckled. "So you're the one that sent the letter? You're the one that knows?" She asked.

Confused I looked her in her eyes. "How do you know?" I asked her then she held up Kamryn's phone and smiled. I looked at her in hatred "Why were you going through her phone?" I asked. The girl just stared at me and didn't reply. I have to get the fuck out of here. Everything is falling apart and I feel Kamryn slipping away from me. I felt tears starting to form in my eyes. As I walked off. I felt the girl watching me walk away but I just kept walking.

Saadiq P.O.V
I knew he knew. I just didn't want to admit it to myself. I felt bad that I was about to lose my best friend, but I️ wasn't about to go to jail for her or anyone else. I have to kill both of them, her and her boyfriend. Then I can move off and start over. I took a knife from the kitchen and headed to Kamryn's bedroom as she slept. I have to end it all now. I HAVE TO. I did a prayer out loud in front of her sleeping body. I was about to kill my best friend. I loved her and I'll always love her, but I have to end this war now.

God please bless her soul as she departs from us. Please let her enter the gates of heaven and wonder in paradise with you.

I rose the knife above my head with both of my hands. I looked at Kamryn's face and at that moment, her eyes opened.
