(14) The mysterious drink

*Towards the end of the party

Chloe's perspective

I woke up with the worst headache in a room and looked around as my eyes adjusted themselves. My vision was really blurry but I could make out 5 people sitting around me, one of which was holding my hand.

"Finn?" I asked with a croaky voice, my throat was awfully dry.

"Hey, it's ok. shhh don't push yourself." He said still holding my hand.

"What happened?" I asked really confused.

"You crashed remember. We were all dancing and you said you felt sick so you went to the bathroom. You didn't come back for a while so I told Sadie to check on you and she ran back saying that you had passed out in the corridor. I carried you into one of the spare bedrooms and we all just waited for you to wake up. The party's still going on downstairs." He explained.

"Why did you crash anyways?" Asked Sadie worriedly.

"I-I don't know. The last thing I remember was someone offering me some water because I was sweating so much from dancing. But when I took a sip my throat burnt so much but I was too thirsty I didn't care." I said rubbing my temples to try and remember as much as I could.

"And there's our culprit!" said Toby in an annoyed tone.

I groaned when I realised how stupid I was.

"I have the worst headache." I complained

"We need to get you home, get you a drink of proper water and some advil for that headache. Can you stand up?" Finn said

"Of course I can-" I thudded to the ground in attempt to getting up. Everyone giggled apart from Noah and Finn. Noah just looked at me with a very confused face and said "What did they give you to drink?!" Whereas Finn crouched down beside me, I put my arm over his shoulder and he helped me up. I thought we were leaving but instead he sat me back down on the bed. 

"I thought we're going home." I said, I was so confused.

"You can't even stand! Let alone walk all the way home which is nearly a 20 minute walk from here." Remarked Toby, still annoyed.

"I will run home, get my car and come back to collect you guys." Added Toby.

Toby left and we all just sat in the room and spoke while we waited for him to return with the car.

About 15 minutes later, we hear a car beep outside. Sadie jumps up and checks if it's him and then she says "OK, let's go." Finn helped me up and Noah walked behind just in case I fell. When we got to the stairs Finn froze and said "Uh-oh" We stood there a few seconds before he took a deep breath and picked me up. Even though I was still weird from that random drink, I could still see Damon, Sadie and Noah's facial expressions. Finn carried me all the way to the car and we all hopped in. Toby started driving and we went straight to my house. 

We got into the house. Toby and Damon ran over to the TV, Sadie went to my medicine cabinet to get me some Advil, Noah and Finn helped me to one of the sofas. When I sat down I thanked them and Noah went to get me a drink. He came back with Sadie and they both held out the water and Advil.

Noah's Perspective(I saw Sadie walking towards me with some advil as I filled up the glass. "Umm...Sadie, you look beautiful tonight."she smiled at me and we both went into the living room. What was happening to me?)

 I looked down at what I was wearing and Sadie instantly read my mind. She helped me up and we began walking up the stairs to my room so I could change. Finn was following behind just in case I lost Sadie's grip and fell.

When we got to my room after many stumbles and staggering down the hallway, Finn waited outside while Sadie helped me get changed. I felt like a baby again, with Sadie being my mother and dressing me. It took about about 10 minutes to get dressed into my pyjamas and Sadie removed all my makeup for me. She also got changed since they were all staying over. About half an hour later, we were all downstairs, curled up on the sofa with mugs of hot cocoa (in my case, a massive glass of water to help with my headache.) We watched quite a few movies together. All of us managed to fit snugly on one sofa. Starting from the right, it was Finn, me, Noah, Sadie, Toby, and Noah. Toby had his arm around Sadie and they were giggling and cuddling through the whole movie. If I'm honest, I kinda wished that that could be Finn and I. It will be soon but not just yet.

Noah's Perspective(Sadie and Toby were being all lovey dovey through the entire movie and if I'm honest, I'm jealous. Sadie is just perfect and sometimes I feel like it should be me and her. I should have told her how I felt before it was too late. But now she's in a 'perfect' relationship with Toby. If I could turn back time...)

We watched a bunch of random movies that I couldn't really pay attention to because my headache was still wearing off but the movie I could actually focus on was "The Conjuring" and man that was scary. There was one part which really made me jump and I grabbed Finn's hand under the blankets, he turned and smiled and then whispered to me "Meet me upstairs in 10 minutes, just make an excuse." before smirking and turning back to the movie.
