"That was the best night everrrr!" announced Sadie, as we were driving down the motorway.
"But I'm sad its over." she added
"Well, I'm about to pass out any minute so I think it's for the better." I said and flopped my head onto Finn's shoulder, breathing in his scent. The lights from all the buildings around, illuminated the pitch-black road, making it look like a starry night. We didn't have any music playing, we were just enjoying the view and peaceful silence. None of us girls bought a coat, so I was currently shivering, but Finn had his arm around me which really did help. Toby was driving with Sadie in the passenger seat, Lucy and Damon were in the back with Lucy fast asleep and Finn and I were in the middle row. Earlier, Noah sat in the same row as us but because he disappeared, I had my feet stretched out and my back resting on Finn.
" Chloe, can you explain about Noah now?" asked Toby, frustrated with me avoiding that question earlier.
"Well, I called him, noticing his absence, he picked up stating that he was on his way home and he wasn't in the party mood.
"Is this about his feelings for Sades?"asked Finn
"I think so."
"That bastard! Why can't he just leave Sades alone!" yelled Toby, his anger clearly shown by how the car picked up speed.
"SHHHHHHHHHHHHH" said Damon, from the back.
"Sorry." said Toby taking deep breaths to calm himself down while Sadie rubbed his shoulder.
"Sades, what are you going to say to him if he demands for an answer?" asked Finn.
Toby growled.
"Toby." she said in a warning tone.
"Its simple. I'm with Toby and I'm happy. Noah's just a friend. Nothing more. I love Toby." she added, earning a kiss from Toby.
"Wouldn't that hurt his feelings?" asked Damon.
"It will, let's be real. But I can't sugar-coat the truth can I? He deserves the truth anyways. We don't need anymore lies or secrets than we've already got." she replied.
"With everything going on with Dot, no more lies between us?" I asked
"Agreed"
"Yepp"
"Sure"
"Ok"
The atmosphere drifted back to a peaceful silence as we were pulling up in my driveway. All of us jumped out of the car, looking forward to getting into our pyjamas. Don't get me wrong, I love my dress, but after wearing it for 6-7 hours, it becomes annoying. Prom dresses are created based on beauty, not comfort. The black skirt was digging into my waist while my heels were killing my feet. All that was on my mind was :PJ's, cosy socks, dressing gown and hot chocolate.
I was expecting Noah to be home, but no lights were on so I assumed he went to his house. Each of us ran to our rooms to get changed before doing anything else. Sadie finished first and then came to help me take my dress off, considering that it was so big. The boys were out of their tuxes pretty quickly, so they went downstairs whilst we all removed our makeup. I pumped one pump of my makeup remover onto a cotton pad and swiped it over my eye whilst the girls did the same before we all went downstairs to join the boys.
"Ell-o" said Damon as we walked into the room.
"Heyy" I said, pulling the sleeves of my pj's over my hands.
"Okay what should we do now?" asked Toby
"Movie night?"
"Sounds great to me!" I said, pulling out the hamper, filled with all the movies.
"Okay,, what do we feel like today." I added, flipping through everything. Sadie came over to help me look and her entire face lit up when she saw the one movie I have but didn't watch.
"The Faults in Our stars!" she cried, waving the movie around in her hand.
"Is it good? Never watched it before." I simply stated.
"IS IT GOOD?! IT'S GODDAMN BEAUTIFUL. I'M NOT SLEEPING UNTIL YOU WATCH THIS." yelled Sadie, already walking over to the DVD player.
"But Sades-" Toby began but was interrupted by the growling of the" Tyrannosaurus-Sades."
We were just twenty minutes into the movie when my brain just clocked.
PJ's-check
Cosy socks-check
Dressing gown-check
"HOT CHOCOLATE!" I screamed out aloud, leaving the others staring at me, confusion written all over their faces.
"sorry" I said, getting up to go to the kitchen.
"Where are you going?" asked Finn, still holding my hand.
"Mate, didn't you get the HOT CHOCOLATE moment that just happened." Damon mimicked, earning a punch on the arm from me.
"You sit back down, I'll make it. Watched this movie hundreds of times with this one." Toby said ruffling Sadies hair, who didn't take her eyes off the TV once, before heading to the kitchen.
"Guys!" Toby ran in with shock written all over his face and a piece of paper in his hands. We all paused the film and turned to see him holding a letter.
"What?"
"Is it another note from that bitch-cause I swear to god!" said Finn, tightening his grip around me.
"It's from Noah." Toby spoke.
