"So you really had that much belief in me back there?" Saihara asked as he shyly smiled at her, "After all, I was just a detective in training. Or well, maybe you just wanted me to be a good detective? I know you always want them to live-"

"Your character solved a real murder! I would say they were suited to the task" she giggled, "Also, I knew straight away you were gonna do great things"

"Huh?"

"And I'm not talking about just the acting here, Saihara. This wasn't just about some role we played but a bond we all shared with each other, and our jobs after. I was already told that I was wanted for other roles the second the adverts were up of me on the front. People saw me as a beautiful, mild mannered girl, something that is highly sort after in romcoms. While I knew few people believed in you and your talent, but I do" she starts, taking his hand as they walked, "You're not just some run of the mill actor. You're an amazing person with a talent. I felt everything you said, and knew you believed what you said. That includes feeling down about yourself, which killed me inside. Seeing you have such a low self worth it. . . it hurt. Especially seeing as you covered your face in the way you did. Don't think I didn't notice you always wearing a hat or sunglasses to cover your eyes. I wouldn't be shocked if something did happen like that. . ."

". . . I was 8" he started, looking away from her, "I was 8 and weak. It wasn't that I saved the day, no, I was the victim that day. . .A victim of a violent act that made me want to be a detective, not an actor, and why I personally asked to be one here. I. . . he forced me to look him in the eyes as he took my innocence from me."

"W-what?" Kaede stuttered, stopping in her tracks, "You don't mean-"

"Yeah" he mumbled. But then turned to her with a weak smile, "But you showed me something I will never forget, Kaede. You showed me hope, and you were my driving force throughout the whole thing. I wasn't told to take off my hat, but I took it off to respect you, and to show you that I. . . I can do it. I can be more confident, Kaede. I can. Even when you weren't there go hold my hand anymore, I knew I could do it. For you"

Without a word, she hugged him closely. Her arms held him tightly as she rocked him softly. Then he hugged back, placing his chin on her shoulder, hiding his face away in her sweet smelling hair.

For a moment, they lingered there. Honestly, it felt like forever before they parted.

"You should come over" Kaede suggested, "I've invited the others, we're all having a party to celebrate the killing game"

"I wouldn't miss it for the world, Kaede" he chuckled, "When they coming over?"

"In three hours time, which means we get some time to ours" she cooed, "That and you can help me set up"

"Yeah, I knew that bit was coming ahaha"

After a while, they got to Kaede's house. It was white, and clean. Honestly it was a thing of beauty, almost feeling like it belong in an art gallery. There was a lot of music based stuff, and even a piano. It was grand and very beautiful, it being a pure white colour.

"Woah, how'd you afford a house like this?" Saihara asked.

"Ah, it was my dad's. He was a millionaire so when he passed, everything went to me" she explained, "Never knew my mother, but never needed to. My dad was enough"

"Ah, after the court case, I never saw my Dad again"

"How old were you?"

"8"
